Interesting story. They don't always just pack up and head for home when they're through. They're human and they have to deal with what happened.

*Sniff* Aww, way to break my heart. Poor Steve. I love that Sam was there for him, but the description of Steve’s injuries, both internal and external, just about did me in. He needs lots of hugs and some absolution - and I’m so glad that he wasn’t alone to work through that by himself in your story. This is now officially part of my headcanon.

I like it! I like how you show Sam and Steve's friendship and how Sam eventually gets through to him. I love reading fanfics about Steve's friendships with the other team members :) Nice work!

This was pretty great. The aftermath of battles are too glossed over in these movies but of course it is because the movies can't fit in all the details. So thanks for this. FYI, it was a month later when Steve talked to Wanda in the movie. The news report mention that. Didn't have to be an exact month but you get the idea.
