AMurder0fCrows chapter 5 . 2/15
F this. Hikigaya should just keep doing what he's doing. as it is he doesn't need to associate himself with ghouls because he can still eat normal food thus nothing has really changed for him to associate with her.
AMurder0fCrows chapter 5 . 2/15

armysugakookie chapter 11 . 2/6/2019
Nishino is a ghost!
The only issue i have with this fic is that it's way too slow. Almost 70k in and still nothing much happened.
Also i was looking forward to seeing hikigaya consuming human flesh. Guess that's not happening.
armysugakookie chapter 8 . 2/6/2019
U should speed up the pacing a little. Cut out the useless parts.
Just an advice.
Congrats chapter 11 . 1/8/2019
Another story that died without getting anywhere *sighs*. Y'all cheap writers on
Guest chapter 1 . 12/13/2018
Also much of this chapter is distinctly unjapanese and is jarring with the knowledge that they are japanese people in japan, speaking and thinking in japanese. 8-man is not going to think "Mate", and the way you said how japan also has mass murderers seemed as if from the perspective of a foreigner and not a native.
Guest chapter 1 . 12/13/2018
The monologue doesnt feel like a hikigaya monologue and more of a snarky self inserts.
Guest chapter 1 . 12/13/2018
"What in the world does this energy-conservative bastard Hikigaya Hachiman ate to make himself roleplay a goddam frozen meatball? " a question i find myself asking all too often.
OwlBoi chapter 11 . 11/9/2018
Hello man. Update please.
BlackPsych chapter 11 . 9/22/2018
Yeesh, reading this back, it's easy to see how thick the tension is between Hachiman and Meguri. I wonder just how much they'll share with each other in terms of information. Hachiman has shared little to no information when it comes to this situation of his. He's very selective about who knows what, what side of him he'll show to select groups of people. With the Service Club, seems like he'll share jack shit lol. I can see why, he seems to have a ton of fun talking with Yukino and Yui. That bit about Yukino being unable to control herself — that was pretty funny. She'd never show that side of hers to anyone else, I think. It would be hard for him to burden those two with the danger he's faced. He'd certainly break the peace and cause them to worry for him and themselves, given the fact that monsters INDEED exist. And Hachiman just might be one of them.

With Nishino, it was out of his hands. She just witnessed him break a knife with nothing but a belly apparently made of steel. There's also the issue with the eye, which is what he learned to be a "kakugan" in this chapter. I wonder what reason REALLY compelled him to share more on this issue with her. Was it mostly because she was a witness or mostly because she actually broke through his walls, that were being rebuilt, again? Either way, I think even though the Service Club may end up liking Nishino, they just might end up having a problem with Hachiman sharing his burdens with someone he just recently got reacquainted with. Not even in just a romantic sense — it's a sign of his lack of trust/faith in them. If he did trust them with this info, sure it may harm them, but there are benefits. I mean, Nishino's hiding something about the Literature Club and he wasn't aware of that fact until talking about it with the Club. That really irked him. Is Hachiman possibly sharing more info with the wrong party?

So yeah, those two parties have to deal with some stuff. Meguri though? I think it's cool she's wanting to make it up to him and earn his trust, but she's gotta take it slow. I think she intimidated Hachiman with how, well, eager she came off with her good intentions. Is this a sign of her wanting someone to connect with? Whether or not this involved ghouls, Hachiman is cautious about connecting with others. So it seems she's gotta work ten times as hard to reach him, compared to the others. Who's to say he's even worth that effort? Maybe they'll work better together in a pragmatic relationship.

damn just when I think I've got Nishino figured out and then you go and pull a out a completely now twist!
BlackPsych chapter 10 . 9/10/2018
I think one of Nishino's best qualities, besides being down to earth, is how she's able to lure Hachiman into a stimulating conversation. Seriously, after almost every other line in this chapter Hachiman seemed to be taken aback by the cut of her jib. If not for Jun, she'd probably be the most relatable girl he's come across. Nishino's lines and facial expressions make her come off as an amalgamation of Yui and Yukino. Not to say she's a ripoff of either character or a blend of them, just that Nishino shares similar, good qualities. People like the banter between Yukino and Hachiman and it's truly fulfilling for both of them to communicate with someone with a similar grasp on Modern Japanese. They don't always feel the need to dumb things down for one another; their talks generally have an uninterrupted flow. Yui, however, has the quality of being way more approachable and isn't as scared about emotionally connecting with the people she cares for. In fact, one could say she's overtly happy with bonding events.

Nishino seems well-versed as she's president of the Literature Club and is even within the reach of a loner like Hachiman, with the way she's non-judgmental and forgiving. It'd be interesting to see her interact with the Service Club, I think they'd find her to be a very likable person. Maybe also learn that it's not enough to remain either an unapproachable, well-versed ice queen or an overtly bubbly, sociable airhead. She certainly taught Hachiman to stop it with the edgy, cynical loner route, right?

Not to say she's solely responsible for that new side of Hachiman but she did make him remember that he should try to live past his loner phase.

Jun is pretty creepy, but obviously not a one-dimensional kind of creep. I do hope Nishino directly addresses him someday. He was wrong for getting obsessed with her and she was partly wrong for not reporting him and letting that obsession fester within. I wonder what role he'll fufill in later chapters. I recall laughing at the absurdity of Hachiman finding another example of a kakugan in Jun's blog of all places. I wonder how THAT revelation will go down haha. I remember telling you about how that old man in the alley interested me because he obviously has seen some shit. Now I'm wondering how the hell Jun got away with taking such a picture and placed it on the internet. How was he not immediately killed for being in the vicinity of a monster? That's gotta be an interesting story. At least this indicates that ghouls aren't exactly all that omnipresent, at least not on the internet. Otherwise, that post would have been taken down and Jun would have been located and killed. Perhaps ghouls are aware of the Streisand effect and are okay with letting people believe that's just photoshop? Probably thinking too much of this. I hope Meguri makes things more clear for Hachiman about the intricacies of the ghoul organization in later chapters, if such a thing exists.
