Yes, I can just see that. And the bit with Albus' increasing isolation is good too. Really effective use of imagery.

Your story writing style is very unique. I've wondered for a long time why Dumbledore trusted Snape so much, despite his past. And in such a wonderful writing, it seems like a very real explanation.

Excellent job - it's wild, seeing the exact same things I've thought of, independently done in some one else's words, but you've done the same things I have - gone through the time line and figured out what must have happened. You've even gone further - I had originally planned some of the stuff you have in here to end The Pawn with, but it just didn't fit there, so I've imagined it happening later on (and am probably going to write it, too). But yes, these kinds of things - the Unbreakable Vow or something along those lines, and most important of all, bonding with Dumbledore, these would have happened. (And yes, I think Snape was there at Godric's Hollow, too).

A very interesting take on Snape. I have to admit, prior to HBP, he was one of my least favourate characters, but now thinking over the dumbledore death scene, I've become more interested in him. Whether he is good or bad, doesn't matter anymore. He's just a funny character and he does things that always seem very odd and yet very fitting. He's one of the most incomprehensable characters in the series.

I hope to see more of this in the near future. I love your take on Sevvie.
