Your fic is good, but there was one thing that stuvk out to me. There was no sense of passage of time. But other than that, I liked it.

While reading your story, I tried to think about any constructed critisism i could give you and I really can't think of any at the moment besides the fact that it is unconfirmed how Rin dies so we don't know if Kakashi "abandoned" her or not. But hey! It's your story. Do what you will with it. Anyway, here are the things I loved about your story:

1) The comparisions- like the kitten in the water one. I like it especially because 'sensei is standing on the shore' and it relates to what he thinks next

2) The emotions- it really seems real, like he'd actually felt that and those things actually made him the Kakashi we see now. As in, your story isn't "fakey"

3) The slight humor- it makes it more interesting

Hmm... I'm going to find it hard to criticise this... I really enjoyed it, it had good pace and didn't ever get too bogged down and fitted nicely with what we know of cannon, bringing us back to current Kakashi very gently. The concept was great too.

Criticise... maybe the sentence structure here and there? Perhaps get hold of a beta to read your stuff through, if you don't have one already. Sometimes they see flow-issues as a reader that you can't see as an author? But really... not much to criticise here

constructive criicism? - is there such a thing for such a masterpiece as this. It was spot-on in character, everything was logically planned and written with a nice flow and good grammar/spelling. The story line fit perfect and it had a good message and background that describes Kakashi's character amazingly.

I know you want constructive criticism, but it was too good for me to find anything wrong with it. I almost cried, it was so wonderfully written and it just really spoke to me and whatnot~ I'm running in circles with my words, as always, but the point is I loved it and think you are a fantastice writer~ *favorites story*

excellent structure, it had a good beginning middle and end, all in all I absolutely loved it.

I enjoyed the first part very much. The part when Kakashi thinks that everything is so surreal and that part on uniforms :) And how Kakashi "speaks" with his dead team mates and sensei. I love paragraph 8.

But the first time in which Sandaime speaks with Kakashi is kinda well, not satisfying enough.

The one-shot's like an overall review of stuff Kakashi experiences and when he deals with it and how his actions and thinking change overtime. This one-shot is very much like "Altas" in that sense :D

omg obito in this story is so heartless and kakashi's way of thinking is so sad and probably not true. i mean seriously obito pushed kakashi out of the way if he didnt like ihim he would have left him there to die! kakashi needs to learn to have happier thoughts but otherwise I JUST LOVE YOUR STORY!
