Hi! It’s been 7 years or so, and I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed this. I’m so intrigued by how you’ve tweaked and twisted canon events, with Snape knowing about the Horcruxes and Harry viewing Snape’s Pensieve secrets in an entirely different scenario. I’d be excited to find out what happens next, now that they both have far more information. How does Snape handle guiding Harry towards his death? Do they follow the path Dumbledore intended, or do they find their own way to destroy Lily’s murderer? Gotta say, you’ve written this really well. Not only has the plot been exciting and well crafted, but you’ve done superb job writing these characters. They’re very much in line with how they developed in canon, just with tweaked events, and I’d love to see the turnaround happen. Snape and Harry had potential for at least a good rapport if they had given each other a moment of honesty and true respect.

I guess I’m asking you to continue, if you have the time and desire. It would be amazing to see this go further. If you have neither time nor drive, then I just want to thank you for writing this. You’re so talented and I hope one day we’ll see more of you!

Well, Harry knows the truth now, and in a way that he actually believes. Had I been Snape, though, I would have used a potion anyway without asking for permission. At least Snape knows about the Horcruxes, though, which is a improvement over canon.

As for Harry-yes, his life sucks and now he knows it's worse than ever.

Of *course* all Slytherins turn Dark. Never mind what Harry nearly did to Draco-that doesn't count.

At least he realizes that the same spell is a) cool when the Twins do it and b) evil when a Slytherin does it.

Oh, wait, he finally does realize what he nearly did to Draco (which is more than he did in canon-though remembering might be why he saved Draco in DH).

But of course he'll still hate Snape.

Because he exists.

Well, at this point in the enquiry, neither one knows about or speculates about Ravenclaw's diadem; in fact, Ravenclaw isn't mentioned at all. But Snape has a lot more to go on than he did before.

Perception is a curious thing, isn't it. One and the same situation can be taken in so very different ways.
I really liked Harry's musings (even if he tried to shove them aside when they turned uncomfortable) after he had seen student Severus' resigned statement regarding his spell inventions. Personally, I think Lily also only saw what she wanted to see, caving to peer pressure after all those years.
Comparing a young Severus to Hermione (and not making the leap from that sudden insight to Sirius' description of his hated nemesis and how utterly wrong his godfather and father were) was so very much to the point. Imagine what Hermione's life with Ron picking on her might have turned out, had the troll incident not happened. Her only companion might have been Neville in the long run, if she hadn't frightened him off with her bossiness, making her bury herself in the library completely.
