Made me lol! XD Very cool

As much as I love coming back and rereading this story from time to time, one thing always bugs me.

On the question of whether or not Jack and Mac are related Jack answers: "I doubt it,". he then proceeds to explain the source of his scepticism with the line: "I was adopted.". His parents died when he was a baby. Sure they probably aren't brothers but if his parents are dead and he didn't grow up with them then he missed the chance to hear about any extended family that might exist. He and Mac could be first or second cousins and he'd have no idea. He has no rational basis to 'doubt' that he and Mac are related somehow, so why would he do it? He's pretty much saying: "I doubt that because I have very little pertinent knowledge." Jack's answer should have been: "I don't know, I was adopted." Or "I doubt it, my aunts big into genealogy and would have mentioned if I had any fourth or fifth cousins that look just like me." Both these answers are logically consistent.
Mac's answer was fine, he knows he's an only child because he knows his parents. One of his parents might have an estranged sibling or cousin that died in a car crash years ago, he'd have to check. It's fine though because we know the two aren't brothers.

Okay, that's the end of my overanalysing rant lol.

Sam and Jacks conversation felt a little OOC too. I can see them being in a relationship, but I have trouble imagining Carter and Jack calling each other 'babe', 'honey', or 'love'. That conversation felt like it was a very stereotypical domestic lovers script and didn't sound like dialogue consistent with these awesome and well defined characters.

Other than the couple's convo, I love the interactions between the characters. Every conversation is just brilliant! Jacks reaction and execution, Madocks behaviour, Macgyver and Jacks back and fourth, the sherif and Jacks byplay, and Jack thinking he's an evil twin when he finally gets home to Sam are all great. Bravo!

If you ever decided to continue this story that would be great, but even if you don't that's ok. I am just glad I found and favorited it. Bravo!

I can understand the villains not expecting Jack to have a gun, as MacGyver hates guns, but the knife? Murdock of all people should know that Mac can make just about anything given his Swiss Army knife, a roll of duct tape, and whatever odds and ends he can get his hands on.

Read this again today. One of my absolute favorite stories. Jack is a riot. I always laugh all the way through this one.

I've never watched macgyver before, but this definitely made me laugh.

Very Funny.

I was able to follow it though I've never seen an episode of MacGuyver. I've only seen parodies e.g. Billy Nye's one about erosion and a MacGruber sketch on SNL.
