Oh wow, this is lovely :')

I don’t care how old this story is, I have to review it! This is the second time I’ve read this, and I think I enjoyed it even more this time around! It’s so heartbreaking and hilarious at the same time. You capture Byakuya’s personality so well, and your descriptions of his suffering and thoughts were so humorous even when sad. I’m pretty sure I smiled the whole time I read this, and definitely laughed out loud multiple times.

Renji was hilarious overall, but really, what you wrote about him opening doors was honestly one of my favorite parts of the whole story because it’s so accurate and written in such a unique way. And then Byakuya sensing his doom on the horizon... yes, so much yes. Haha

The ending was so sweet and happy, and it makes me happy to see Byakuya having a fulfilling life being finally be loved in return by the one person he’s loved so much! And it’s all the sweeter that he actually fell in love with her new self and that she kissed him simply because she wanted to. That anything else clearly didn’t cross her mind. And just... *sigh* I just love a well-written happy ending.

Wonderful ! I don't think Captain-subordinate romance is expressively forbidden in Seireitei. Perhaps frowned upon, but I don't think they would want to be rid of their greatest warriors like this (or bye, Kyorokou Shunsui ! Bye Byakuya !)
