Reviews for Of War
Guest chapter 1 . 1/31/2018
I used to love Minato. He was my favorite character when I was a kid. I reread Naruto again years later and ... everything is from Konohas perspective. Iwa... this is brilliant.
Guest chapter 1 . 5/29/2015
Probably just to fit in in with his character, but please capitalize next time...it just really bothers me.
phantomelysian chapter 1 . 2/8/2015
I think this really proves that 'history books are written by the victors'. And we really don't think about the other side's perspective.
Great fic.
AnonOne chapter 1 . 10/16/2013
Nice one-shot. It really says something about people we think are heroes but they probably aren't. A different perspective is refreshing. Namikaze Minato was the guy who practically won the war for Konoha, but how many people did he kill to do so?
Haldir639 chapter 1 . 9/25/2013
Wonder ful fic, poor Iwa Shinobi-kun...
Proper the Incredible chapter 1 . 3/2/2013
Awesome
tmac chapter 1 . 2/1/2013
I still love this fic, even years after I first read it over. For some reason, I thought this was going to be multiple chapters long, so I kept checking back. But I eventually figured out it was a stand-alone, which actually made me value it more. This is an accurate point of view that I have found no. where. else.
Your summary was perfect. "yondaime was only a hero to some"
A Midsummer Night's Dreams chapter 1 . 5/11/2011
Rest assured, random Iwa nin, Namikaze had the shortest reign as the why? The fucking Kyuubi struck hard on the great Yellow wife died, his son is now the Kyuubi jinchuuriki and he, Namikaze Minato, was sentenced to a eternal torment in the lovely stomach of Shinigami.
Guest chapter 1 . 5/24/2010
maybe this is what Iraqis feel about americans.
this.account's.been.deleted chapter 1 . 3/17/2010
This story kinda solidifies the statement that, "War doesn't detemine who's right-only who's left." I loved the flow of this piece and the way you wrote it... gruesomely descriptive and yet morbidly fascinating to read. It was also fully believable that these were the thoughts of a dying Iwa nin. Excellent work.
Swords and Bandages chapter 1 . 1/1/2010
Well, here goes a good reminder that history is written by the victors.
FeatherFoil chapter 1 . 8/2/2009
Beautiful stream of consciousness prose here, and I especially liked how you put Minato as a demon, how the you manage to make both sides sound completely cruel and despicable, despite us having been practically raised to remember that Konoha is good and everyone else is bad. Simple, but exquisite. Stream of consciousness is extremely difficult to do, and I'm speaking from experience.
InARealPickle chapter 1 . 3/18/2009
and THAT is why Sarutobi insisted on hiding Naruto's heritage.

Excellent work there H.E.

The comparison to Grant really made Minato's fictional actions hit home. Although, if you want the real devil from that war it was Sherman. What his army couldn't eat he burned. Sherman more than Grant was the one responsible for turning the Southern U.S. into a backwater shyte hole from which it is still trying to recover.

o.O

There's still a lot of people who take that personally 140 years after the fact. So, I can see why the people of Iwa would be willing to hunt Naruto down. In the manga, it's only been a little over a decade since the war ended.
Kuyugen chapter 1 . 9/19/2008
That was beautiful.
Hypno chapter 1 . 6/28/2008
Ha wow man that is something to think about when your dying, great one shot.
