I have to say: usually I stick to slash, and the mere notion of Cloud/Tifa makes my skin crawl. As your fic is a Genesis Awards nominee in the Het category, and the reccer listed Cloud/Tifa before Tifa/Reno (implying, to me, that Reno would play the smallest part), I honestly have no idea why I clicked on this story. But I'm really glad I did.

You painted Cloud and Tifa's relationship (emotionally, at least) very close to how I see it: unhealthy. And that Tifa knows that she deserves better and maybe eventually will make moves to get out of that rut with Cloud makes me happy. :)

(In the back of my head, while Tifa is having her night with Reno, Cloud is off somewhere with Vincent, being stoic at each other.)

I meant to review this some time back, but the day I read it the site was glitching pretty harcore and would not let me review anything, in addition to pulling some other crap with me that I was not in the mood for.

Anyway. I absolutely loved this-it just rang so very true, and everything about it worked. The somewhat violent sex, Tifa's vulnerability and the way Reno sort of preys on that, and yet somehow becomes a victim himself-loved it. I only recently ventured onto the Reno/Tifa scene myself, and was extremely pleased to find this.

Loved it. And not just because I'm a massive Clerith fan and this is like Cloud's character perfection to me.

You are a brilliant writer. How you captured Tifa's toughness on the outside and vulnerability on the inside was amazing, and... well, let's just say ReTi has moved up a lot in my list of favorite pairings.

This was one of the best stories I've ever read on this site. I can't say anything that can describe how much I loved it. The way you wrote it was just so perfect. It's everything I was looking for in a RenoxTifa fanfiction. Please never stop writing, you really are a wonderful writer.

Hi! I know you wrote this story... what, two years ago? But I must say I admire it anyway. Your fic is sensual and moving, and I especially enjoy your characterisation of Tifa. It's not too lemony, a moderation of sex and plot that makes it a unique story.

I never thought of Cloud as that type of guy, but now that I've read this, I realise it's a distinct possibility, considering his relationship with Aerith.

Your nomination for the Genesis Awards is certainly well-deserved! I loved this fic, and I enjoyed it. I hope you keep writing!
