But if Edmund knew what he was doing Philip would be in a lot of trouble.

Oh Philip. Even now you are loyal and loving. How utterly heartbreaking to think that he misses Edmund so so much that he'd spend his whole life waiting for Edmund. And yet that level of Love and Loyalty...

What a heart-breaking story. I'm assuming you're writing about Phillip waiting for Edmund to come back? The fact that you left the names of the characters out did spark my curiosity and made me want to continue to read the story, just to figure out who "he" is. Personally, I think it'd be nice to reveal who the character is at last sentence of this story - i.e. "And as the snow of winter fell around him,...Phillip waited.", as some impact of the story might've been lost if the readers couldn't figure out who the character is.

This was just downright heartbreaking. The story was well-written and made me want to cry. Philip (or who I take as Philip) waiting around for Edmund who will never be able to come back t him. It's just so sad. The jar jam was especially sad, and I especially liked how, apart from the regular visits from Orieus, the vigil was remained undisturbed. The fact that even Aslan could not break his heart-wrenching vigil gave depth to the commitment and how utterly destroyed Philip has become due to Edmunds' absence.

Very nice, Cap - but I was confused as to wnho the "he" was until I read other reviews. I would sugggest mentioning it's Phillip - otherwise lovely!

This is so sad that it makes me want to cry, but it's beautifully written. Absolutely exquisite. Poor Philip! I can well imagine his heart being broken over losing Edmund. Thank you for such a wonderful little piece. HL.

Oh, my goodness, this was amazing! I've been on a Narnia spree in the past week, and one of my friends sent this to me with the insistence that I read it immediately. I'm very glad I did. Having said that, I'm also completely heartbroken, because the relationship between Edmund and Philip was always so great in LWW, and even though PC has abandonment as one of the big themes, there's people and things the Pevensies left behind that were never glanced at. This was phenomenal, and easily one of the best oneshots I've ever read.
