Tlyna52 chapter 1 . 5/1/2008
A very beautiful story. By turns sad, lovely, tragic and with a very evil villain. A wonderful blend of emotion, action and plot.
Kippling Croft chapter 1 . 12/14/2006
Really really great story I loved it.
Tharin chapter 1 . 7/6/2006
An interesting story about Ezra's past. I like how you wrote him and Buck, but also Casey and the others.
Nyx6 chapter 1 . 9/7/2005
I read this a while ago on another website, but happened across it today and knew I had to review it and say what a beautiful piece of fiction this is!

I absolutely love it, and it's so sad and yet still in the spirit of the show! Well done!
Cassandra30 chapter 1 . 6/4/2005
*sniff sniff* *cry cry* This was so fantastic a story. Touching, emotional without being too much but

getting all the characters involved.

Well handled, all the characters were true to life.

Well Done!
JLyH chapter 1 . 2/23/2005
*blinks*...Wow. That's all I can say is... wow. That was a superbly excellent story. I am throughly impressed by your extraordinary talent. Indeed, this is one of the best stories I have read in a very long time. The characterizations were outstanding, the plot was well developed, and the writing was magnificent. Wonderful. Simply wonderful. Kudos on a job well done.
Maude S chapter 1 . 3/17/2002
Delightful, insightful, well-paced, well-crafted. A good read, all 'round. Brava, Sue!
q10 chapter 1 . 1/28/2001
Over a year, and this still remains my undisputed favorite of all time. Did you know that I get goosebumps every time I even see the word 'Shenandoah'? That's how good your story is.
Sevenstars chapter 1 . 6/1/2000
Of all the Mag7 stories I've discovered on this site so far, I think "Shenandoah Waltz" may be my favorite. The flashbacks are skilfully integrated into the main story, and their picture of Ezra as a lonely, bitter child who blossoms under Sophie's friendship is genuinely touching. There's humor in JD's agonies over his love life and Buck's attempts to teach him to dance, lots of action, and an unexpected strong relationship between Buck and Ezra. Sue also clearly knows something about 19th-Century life (as a bug on research myself I notice such things): her mentions of the schottische (a dance most fen don't know existed) and the process of soap-making are both casual and accurate. And, on a more mundane level, she's done her proofing: I'm not constantly distracted by incorrect punctuation and poor sentence structure (naming no names!). This story definitely gives a positive answer to my first query about TV fanfic, i.e., "Could this be filmed?"; I can see it appearing in the nonexistent Third Season. Good work, Sue! I hope you will give us more of your vision of the Seven!
Cat Standish chapter 1 . 4/11/2000
Among my very favorite M7 fanfics.
Derry chapter 1 . 4/11/2000
One of the first M7 fics I read and still one of my absolute favourites. Sue's a great writer in general. Her "Dealer's Choice" and "A Long-Remembered Winter" are also among my favourites. (can find them at .com)
Trekkieb chapter 1 . 4/11/2000
This is my absolute favorite of Sue's stories. I've read it many times, and each time, it is as impressive as the first.
Skylark chapter 1 . 4/11/2000
I have never -EVER- seen the seven and especially Ezra so in character. I loved the way you had Ezra talk (and actually make sense with his words, unlike other M7 Fics) and had a believable conflict. This is quite possibly the best written and most realistic M7 fic on the the board. (10)
