Good. it fits perfectly with Kakashi's development as a character, and who Iruka was, and it makes sense that Iruka would feel that way, and he would need someone to be here right now, right at this instant, and Kakashi is the perfect person to dissuade Iruka from the path of suicide.

That was a delightfully dark and semi-fluffy moment in both boy's lives...and it was a nice change of pace to see just how deeply Iruka missed his parents. To have the young ANBU-Kakashi be the one to keep the boy from killing himself was the perfect way to allow him to work through his own abandonment issues and let him feel useful and life-giving instead of the ANBU killer that he was playing the part of at that time in his life.

The idea of remving his masks and allowing his closeness to reset Iruka's breath was rather intense and perfect, in my opinion...and having Kakashi think it through as the way he had helped other shinobi in the past made it an entirely believable thing for him to do when witnessing Iruka's meltdown.

I also appreciated how you managed to let Kakashi help himself even as he helped Iruka get pass his attempt to end his pain.

Well done - and I look forward to experiencing more of your work.

I chose to look at this as a friendship fic-but that almost kiss had me backpedaling. Seriously? You can't call it friendship when there's a scene like THAT. Not that I'm complaining. ;)

Wow. I loved this. Damn, girl, you've got skill! I loved Kakashi in this piece. Aloof, and quietly personal. Pulling Iruka from the brink of suicide? Definitely looking at this as shounen-ai. I mean, come on, they practically kissed. O.O

ANBU!Kakashi is FTW. And I felt the added detail about the 9tails was pretty well done; dark and angsty. :)
