Reviews for Skin
AquaEclipse chapter 1 . 9/24/2018
Poetic and beautiful…and a little too erotic for me, Talons. Solar rates it around 98%. I don't care.
CaiaNadiya chapter 1 . 11/6/2014
I've never watched Hetalia but you've successfully made me ship UKUS. XDDD
memory-feathers chapter 1 . 9/28/2014
Very beautiful, but c'mon. Americans don't talk like this.

It's like...

UK: We say "autumn" for the season between summer and winter. The word autumn comes from the ancient Etruscan root "autu-" and has within it connotations of the passing of the year. It was borrowed by the neighbouring Romans, and became the Latin word autumnus.

US: WE SAY FALL BECAUSE LEAF FALL DOWN

See? ;)
Jellybean-chan chapter 1 . 12/8/2013
Dear LAWD! *P* Thank the heavens I found you on tumblr!
Watanabe Maya chapter 1 . 8/25/2013
This is - certainly - my favorite fic from you! I am in love with your writing style here and I can only hope and dream and pray that I can be as good as you one day. Keep on writing and keep up the good work! :D
cookiemonster321 chapter 1 . 9/6/2012
That was a VERY interesting way to describe smut between countries (It's so deep compared to the norm.)

Those metaphors/euphemisms will always make me look at Alfred in a different way though. So yeah this was AWESOME and going in my favs
hibike chapter 1 . 4/16/2012
Wow. I absolutely love your writing style. It's so, for lack of a better word, pretty, should I say? Lol my lame attempt in sounding sophisticated... I completely fail, try as I might... Lol I have to stop doing that!

Anyway I really did enjoy your writing style it was really beautiful. Actually I haven't read any fanfics that're like this in a long while so its nice to see this type of writing style again.
Lamashtar Two chapter 1 . 9/28/2011
It's like Shakespeare is a social disease. XD

And for the first reviewer, I don't know why anyone on QI would get this wrong, but the Statue of Liberty started design after both France and the USA abolished slavery. America was iffy on the idea at first, but fell in love with it on sight. It remains one of his most beloved landmarks, symbolizing liberty, hospitality and immigration.
LovelyToMeetYou chapter 1 . 5/30/2011
God, must you always write this beautifully? Another favorite, loved the way you described them both so perfectly while changing eras. Amazingly done.
abls chapter 1 . 5/21/2011
So poetic. And aha!

"...that you feel the railroad in my ribs and Virginia in my veins, the Hudson in my heart and Lady Liberty in my lungs when I breathe your name..."

I can really see you love your alliteration. :D
Jeanne'sWhiteRose chapter 1 . 12/16/2010
O.O my nation is being eloquent. . . . . is it WWIII already?
Oportet chapter 1 . 11/29/2010
AMERICA, HAVE YOU PERHAPS BEEN HANGING OUT WITH WALT WHITMAN RECENTLY?

I love this, because as I've seen it American can be ivery/i eloquent when he wants to be (especially about himself...) It's just he doesn't appear to want to be that often. XD

I also very much liked the "poems for songs" line, as well as the "Dorset for Dixie..." one. ("I'll sing your language back to you" is the line that made me think of Old Walt in the first place, btw.)

Oh! And also. "...the terror of plague..." and onward left me a bit breathless.

OKAY THIS IS A BAD REVIEW; I think I'll stop now.
Charles Grey chapter 1 . 11/19/2010
Oh wow. I always admire your writing style, I hold a breath when I was reading this XDD. You're the best writer how to portrait the 'Special Relationship' very well X'DD
Guest chapter 1 . 10/14/2010
Did you put the catagory as supernatural because America's being eloquent? Anyways, I liked this :)
Cheese-kun chapter 1 . 9/6/2010
Of course, he is seme.

This fic, I have no words...I am unworthy to even comment.

But oh this really pierced my senses. Every single word, imagery, the history, and the badassery is a delight to read.

I have the feeling that I should really comment on so many passages, but it's soo late. Hello 2am.

And wow Alfred is quite the fanboy. Makes me want to have nation!sex by the way. Ah, sorry for this creepy comment. I'm really just too overwhelmed by the literary cookie.
