Reviews for It Was Here that the Romance of My Life Began
Fi Suki Saki chapter 1 . 8/20/2014
*laughs* xD

I know it that there would be a time where England would mistaken as younger than America! lol

-

God, They're just so Adorable!

Cute!
The Awesome March Hare chapter 1 . 2/22/2012
This was so cute! I love it.
Lamashtar Two chapter 1 . 9/26/2011
Really enjoyed this. But the notes don't have links! :P I have to look things up BY TYPING woe!

And after that "Will you still love me when I'm old?" I have "When I'm Sixty-Four" in my head. XD
TangerineTea chapter 1 . 3/19/2011
Your America never fails to fill me with admiration and glee c': His sheer vitality and brightness of spirit (not to mention his sort of thickheaded egotism/national pride) shines through with every sentence, and it's perfectly hilarious. And Arthur, oh Arthur. 3 His deadpan snarking is brilliant here. I giggled madly when he got carded, too. I could just /see/ the look on America's face! (...I still say the waitress only carded Arthur to hear more of that accent 8D [/shot])

AND THIS PART:

"You never answered. Will you still love me when I'm old?"

England frowned. "What kind of stupid question is that?"

"I dunno. I just wondered if maybe you liked me being young or something," America clarified, and England could imagine his dejected expression even though he couldn't see his face.

My first thought was: "Is he accusing England of being a cougar?" And then I cracked up, because HOW WEIRD WOULD THAT BE.

Caring!England 3

Anyway, you are amazing and fantastic and completely /ace/. Please never stop. :'3
Free of Mundane Thoughts chapter 1 . 2/24/2011
Teehee... *happiness overflowing* I'm just ecstatic that this exists. History and history and more history... and America and history and England and history and stories of the past and HISTORY... Have I mentioned before that I like footnotes? Because I REALLY like footnotes~~~ *heartheartheart* And the quotes from Teddy Roosevelt were a really nice touch too~ I'd love to go on a long tangent review for this fic but I'm supposed to be out of the house in like 4 minutes and still haven't walked the dog, yet I knew I'd forget about reviewing if I waited until later to review, so... You'll have to forgive me for the shortness. ;; However, just because the review is short, doesn't mean that's the limit of how much I loved this! My love of this fic FAR surpasses the actual length of this review, however measurements of love and words happen to overlap. *heartheartheart*
Senshi'sBard chapter 1 . 1/29/2011
I died of happiness.

And then came back to review.

Because I have a newfound love and it is your stories. :D
Anon chapter 1 . 11/22/2010
It's a really sweet story, but I just wanted to point out that unless England's ID was American-made, the date order should have been day-month-year, or 23-4-1987. Just a heads-up. If you're still reading these, of course.
Sen-chan21 chapter 1 . 10/18/2010
This...is beautiful. It's so rich with history and that fact in itself reinforces how rich with history America is. I love his closeness with "Teddy" and his insecurities, as well as the fresh, free-spirited personality you portrayed here. And I love England's portrayal as well. The fondness and pure love...it's touching. This story blended broad ideas of history and national pride with the very human personalities and intimacy between the characters in an extraordinary way. Truly heartwarming. Fantastic work. I look forward to visiting your profile and reading more of your work when it's not 1:30 in the morning :)
Anonymous-Tsundere chapter 1 . 9/14/2010
It was so sweet~ w

I'm kind of proud you mentioned California wines at all. I was born and am still living in the California wine country and I don't think the winegrowers in the area are as rewarded as they should be. Eveyone thinks the French make awesome wine. BUT WE DO TOO.
ouch I just ranted. Anywho I really enjoyed the style of writing~
Pilipa chapter 1 . 9/14/2010
Love! My family and I used to visit the South Dakota badlands when I was younger and it is still one of the most impressive sights I've ever seen. You definitely did them justice. On another note, have you ever watched the movie Bottle Shock? It's about the French/American wine competition in 1976 and it's a really amazing movie. I'm only partially biased because Alan Rickman is the token Englishman. Anyway, keep on writing! It gives me something to read/do on my work breaks XD
EyesTurnedSkyward1969 chapter 1 . 9/12/2010
Really adorable! You're writing style is smooth and runs at a food pace. The story line is really cool, and the xharcters act as they should. Great job! Also-cowboy!America is totally and always will be FTW!

You know you like it, Arthur...
Lord Axxingtons chapter 1 . 9/12/2010
Amazing. So cute. And when I get a boat, DEFINITELY calling it the S.S. Awesome.
pentalion chapter 1 . 9/11/2010
When I first saw this, I thought it was going to be a 9/11 fic, but I also love this. It really highlights that America is becoming a well-appreciated country FOR ITS HISTORY. Amazing.

The great amount of references to America's history were awesome, as were the quotes from Roosevelt.

And as always...AWWWWWWW.
RainSonata chapter 1 . 9/11/2010
I love your story. It's so cute and I can easily see America's uneasiness of lacking age and experience compared to the other nations. It's cute and you even get to learn history among the way, which is a nice bonus. Love this so much. Love it, love it, love it. You are an awesome writer.
N O LONGER IN USE GDI chapter 1 . 9/11/2010
