A enjoyable story

Oh man I so wish this is the bag story behind River Song. It would be the perfect blend between the old and new series for something like this. And a great way to bring Romana back.

Now mind you I've not seen any of the episodes with Romana but through my research yeah I can understand why you like the character.

Plus River being Romana or well some regeneration of her, it just fits.

Don't get me wrong River's origin in the show it's ok but something like this I think would have worked so much better. Really River had a lot of potential that I don't think the show quite lived up to.

So a enjoyable story and yeah just a great theory I wish was true.

I WANT THIS. Because my main issue with 'RiverRomana' theories is that I really want River to be a person in her own right - not just 'lol she was Romana all along' but an individual, distinct from the show's past. And this really combines the best of both worlds: River gets to be unique *and* she gets to be Romana. Ingenious :D

Wow! What a magnificent story! Seriously, I'm impressed with the idea and find it reassuring somehow. (Of course, I'm mostly a fan of the 1963-89 series anyway, much as I'm enjoying the new run.) 10 out of 10 stars.

A very interesting theory in a "would be nice" way, but I doubt it. Still, I really liked it and I LOVED the "Fred" reference.

I have reasons against your theory... sorry but I think that she is a real person- not any other person that the Doctor has already met.

1. They didn't show her body becasue it's a kids T.V show and kids don't really want to see the corpse of a woman who has just had all of that energy coursing through her brain- who knows what she would've looked like.

2. Donna, Mr Lux or any of the other 4,022 people could've let him out of the handcuffs.

Good thought though... I have to admit, I think that she is a Time-Lady, the Doctor's wife and her own person. Also, maybe his killer...

awwww this is very very good! I would've preferred this instead to the ending that we got. I don't ship Doctor/River, but I would LOVE it if Romana was River. (Love the Fred quote lol ;D) Great job! xD
