Reviews for Gravitational Resonance
librarywitch chapter 1 . 1/8/2016
Wow you have all our boys stop on. Love it.
SupernaturalGeek chapter 1 . 10/23/2013
You really do have a marvellous way of capturing Mycroft and Sherlock perfectly and imbuing their interaction with subtle, warm emotion without ever taking either of them out of character.

I also very much enjoy your insights into Mycroft, you do a brilliant job of allowing us a glimpse of the complexity both of his personality and his relationship with Sherlock.

This was a lovely additional scene to what we saw onscreen.
sevenpercent chapter 1 . 7/9/2013
well it may have been the most difficult one shot you've done, but it may also be your best. Lines that stick out and will remain part of me That moment when Mycroft sees his own reflection and, "wonders, vaguely, when he became his father." And that self realisation of the pair of them- "an over-protective nit and a self-destructive egoist respectively".
The Pianist's Touch chapter 1 . 6/2/2013
I'm going through your profile and reading your stories. Might as well add you to my favorite author's list-a high honor, I assure you, as I very rarely even remember to add authors to my favorites list and if I do, it's only because they have written multiple high-quality works. So there. This was a great story-I liked your portrayal of Mycroft as a poetry lover. I have actually heard of William Ernest Henley before now, but only through one of his poems, my favorite: Invictus. I also agree that Mycroft is a compelling character, and that the relationship between the Homeses is fascinating. I wish there were more fics focusing on the relationship between the two, especially pre-series fics. Most pre-series fics I find are high school AUs, or something of that sort, few are decent, and most focus on the relationship between Sherlock and John. Anyway, I mainly wanted to say that this is a mighty fine story you've written here.
Nectar-Ambrosia chapter 1 . 1/19/2013
Isn't he?! A compelling character, I mean. You know you do it well, so I don't have to tell you. But gosh, you write so well. I could feel the distress, the anxiety, the worry felt by Mycroft in your prose. The behavior, dialogue, and reactions of Sherlock, John, Lestrade, and everyone else is soooo realistic. I feel like I'm reading a stolen script from the show, infused with all this intriguing insight. So awesome.
FarGreenCountrySwiftSunrise chapter 1 . 12/27/2012
This was really good. Mycroft is fascinating in this piece and stays very in character and is still sympathetic. Thank you for writing this.
liareh chapter 1 . 8/19/2012
Heartwarming.
sesfx3 chapter 1 . 5/14/2012
I love Mycroft and feel that he is misunderstood by alot of people. Thank you for this wonderful fic!
orageux chapter 1 . 3/19/2012
I cannot stop this today, you have me mesmerized, this time with Mycroft and poetry. Hensley is a terrible gap in education for me and I expect that I will spend tomorrow evening catching up with it.

I should also remark, probably quite incoherently, that I love how you portray Sherlock's and Mycroft's relationship. It likes to descend into fluff when being done, but you stay clear of that very carefully. It leaves my reader's heart a bit sore, but very much admiring, and my writer's heart very, very happy.
Angela chapter 1 . 2/5/2012
very good
Melodylink chapter 1 . 1/5/2012
I really liked this. I think that the poetry is a good touch for Mycroft. Very nice, well written characterisation. Keep it up :)
TadPole11 chapter 1 . 12/21/2011
I have read this story before and I don't know why I didn't review. Anyway, well done. And if you are so inspired, I wouldn't mind a sort of sequel where it is Mycroft who tracks down Moriarty, with Sherlock and John right on his heels.

I think, for whatever reason(s), Mycroft is swiftly becoming my favorite character, even more so than Sherlock. I blame Mark G, I blame the character himself and ACD and fanfics like this. The man is simply adorable/awesome/frightening/lonely/strong/vulnerable all at once.
Arhie chapter 1 . 12/7/2011
Excellent. The poetry is well-chosen, and the character of Mycroft Holmes compelling. I hope those two have a moment like this. Thanks for an awesome story.
studentofwords chapter 1 . 10/29/2011
It may have been difficult, but the hard work definitely paid off.
Pilikia18 chapter 1 . 10/26/2011
