 countingthestars12 chapter 1 . 2/18/2014 Wow this was so beautifully written! I loved the way you wrote Blair and Dan. Their relationship is so easy to caricature, yet you wrote them with such nuance, grace, and realism. And I think you're one of the only authors - if not the only author - I've read on this site who has succeeded in writing a mistletoe scene without it being totally cheesy. You did a great job at characterizing Blair's thoughts and Dan's actions - again, very easy to caricature if not handled by a talented author. I loved the dialogue, and I just love the way you wrote the story - revealing just the right amount so that we feel all of the conflicted emotions that Dan and Blair share - the friendship and camaraderie, the banter and chemistry, the longing, the heartbreak, the boundaries - without all of those things being too obvious or sappy. Clearly, I loved this piece. Great work! |

The mistletoe was a good touch but I loved how they didn't kiss because of it! Like their first kiss should be on their own terms... now I'm ranting so I'll just move on to the next Dair Fic |
