Whoah. That was really powerful, a fascinating look at a character who's only been painted as a villain. Thanks for showing us that journey.

This starts out so atmospheric; I felt everything Uldred felt as he stepped off the boat. His justification of his pride was well-played. I often feel like Dragon Age mages are set up to give in to temptation no matter what they do. It's quite tragic. (Then again, so are templars and grey wardens; few are destined to lead fulfilling, normal lives in Thedas!) You did a wonderful job turning Uldred into a three-dimensional character.

Wow... what a powerful piece! I love the description you have here. It's beautifully done - the language you've chosen and writing in present tense is gorgeous. Really, really nicely executed. I've never read a piece done on Uldred before, and I enjoyed it tremendously. I would love to see more like this from you!

Wait but Uldred was supposed to ALREADY be 'gone' when Wynne, the Warden and their companions showed up to beat him. In the game he even said that he WASN'T Uldred anymore, and that the Uldred that had started the whole mess in the Circle of Magi tower was already LONG gone and all that was left was the demon now controling Uldred's body by the time the heroes got up there. *lol*
