This is excellent, and looks very promising! I too have thought that Jinora would want to go to a university, and the only one we've heard of in that world is in Ba Sing Se, so it would make sense for her to go.

I really liked seeing Ikki's thoughts about her sister and how she's grown up. If I might offer a suggestion, maybe label the first chapter "Prologue" or "Preface", and/or begin each chapter with a chronological label.
