When the "Sherman Family of Strays" was getting ready to leave Cam Ramsay's puppy tripped Mike causing him to drop Jess' marzipan trophy This story is about the arrival of the replacement for that trophy. It has nothing to do with the episode The Replacement.

I had a request, after posting Cooper Smith's nightmare, for a story based on The Richard Bloodgood Story. I wanted to do a Christmas story. I have combined the two ideas. The restoration of his friendship with Charlie Wooster is his best gift.

A follow up to Cooped Up where in Jess has a serious relapse of his cold and bronchitis that becomes dangerously close to pneumonia. Slim needs help. Where will it come from?

Jess has been very sick. The first day he's allowed out of the house absolutely NOTHING goes right and there's nobody around to help him. And it's all the chickens' fault! /g/ This is based, loosely, on a story in the current issue of country magazine.

The boys are thrilled, and maybe a little bit amazed, at the changes in the household since Daisy came to live with them prompting Slim to compare her to Cinderella's fairy godmother

In The Echo Pass Story, Coop and Charlie, were stopped by five renegades, if you will, who had robbed a bank and killed three lawmen. Separating Charlie and Coop, the leader made as if to kill Charlie (he failed) and was forcing Coop to lead them to water. This is a retelling of what happened to Coop with his thoughts on what was had happened or he believed had happened.

Being dissatisfied with the Kerrigans seemingly getting off too lightly at the end of the episode, I have written a "missing scenes" wherein the boys, and Mort (mostly Mort) decide what's going to happen to them.

How did Slim get to the hotel from Doc Collyer's in The Violent Ones? I've tried to answer in what seems to be a logical manner. Many thanks to Polly for giving this the once over and catching my errors. Especially on the spelling of the Blaynes' last name. It's not spelled the way I had it figured.

Just a quickie (and I somehow struggle with short stories more than longer ones) following up on The General Must Die. When last we see the relay station inhabitants, Slim is seeing General Sherman off while Andy and Jonesy are in the barn with the wounded Jess watching over the surviving members of Brandon's outlaw bunch. What happens next?

Slim, and his adopted family as you might call them, have gone to visit friends and a fair. What could possibly go wrong?

An attempt to fiix the end of Death Wind. Discussion with other fans finds fans in agreement that Jess shouldn't have been able to take the "hit man" out with the axe or, at the very least, should have collapsed when everything was over.

A short follow up to Two For The Gallows. The Dixsons and Slim get their injuries tended to and then Slim, generous soul that he is, has Len and Pete come to the ranch to recuperate some. Jess is not a happy camper.

A missing scenes where Slim tends to his injured partner after Mort brings him home from Laramie, all beat up, in Killer's Odds.

A horse race, in Laramie, provides an opportunity for Jess to test his new cowpony's acumen. Skullduggery abounds as someone tries to keep Jess from entering, or winning. In the menatime Cam Ramsay has come for a month long visit.

Corrected (the hazards of using only a spellchecker) version of my first posting. Jess's first person narrative about Slim and his stubborn streak - how it's saved his life, Jess' life and gotten him in trouble too. "I wouldn't have him any other way" he says.

It's winter. There's snow on the ground. Slim, and Jess, are about to regret having fifteen-year-old Cam Ramsay - and some of her friends in Laramie - at the ranch for a visit. "You've never seen the day you could out shoot me," his tormentor called.

Jess, wounded in the leg, waits for help to arrive as he tries to help a seriously wounded stage line executive. Some missing scenes, and a slightly expanded tag, for the episode The Renegade Brand. Hopefully I've corrected all the typos at this point. This is the third time I've posted it.

Slim and Jess are headed home to Laramie, after the events of License to Kill, when Jess falls ill from exhaustion, hunger and a slight fever from the wounds on his hands and wrists. Cayce McKenna, and the citizens of Sunny Acres, California, put on a show to honor all the veterans - past and present.

Jess' friend, John MacLean, has been lynched by a group of vigilantes calling themselves a posse. Jess' heart is broken but Slim is right there beside him to help him through this tough time.

How did Jess get to that farm and what happens when the stress of the day, and his injuries catch up with him at the end of The Protectors? A combination of missing scenes and an epilogue.

The Riptide detectives are at the Lazy M for the month of December. Lots of Christmas activities for them.

Nick steps in when Cayce is accosted by an obnoxious corporal while visiting Fort Irwin.

Cody's has had a little accident. What caused it is fodder for a little fun at his expense. This story is based on an incident that happened in a book I had years ago. It came to mind that I could have a little fun with the guys based on that incident.

The guys are off to the Lazy M again. This time they're going to explore ghost towns with Cayce who has time on her hands. Thanks to Deb for her help in getting Cody's actions in the mine right. For Tinx who seems to love my stories (though I don't know why).

It's Christmas time again. The boys are at the Lazy M and are going to help a group of 4-Hers make gingerbread houses.

A day of shopping, for Colony Studios, unearths a treasure that Cayce has wanted, and searched for, for years. The guys have always been her heroes but never more so than when they present her with their find.

The guys, and Cayce (and Rusty) enjoy a peaceful end of the day on the porch at the Lazy M.

Cody's not recovering from the pneumonia he had in Mother Hen Murray so the guys are off to the Lazy M where the weather is better and Cayce can mother hen him to her heart's delight - much to Cody's annoyance and chagrin.

Cayce lays down the law about interfering with her social life the morning after her date with Pete. Cody and Nick aren't getting any sympathy about getting in just a few hours earlier.

When Cayce McKenna saves a young actress from an onset accident she talks the man in charge into hiring the Riptide Detective Agency to investigate all the accidents that have plagued his movie set.

Cody learns a lesson hopefully about the hazards of showing off while water skiing.

When Nick disappears, after dropping a load of hay at Cayce's wildlife sanctuary in Nevada, it's up to Cody and Cayce to find him while Murray sits by the radio at the Lazy M.

Just a little fun at Halloween. The boys are invited to a festival in Sunny Acres and help create a giant jack o'lantern.

Cayce decides to teach Nick and Cody a lesson about interfering in her social life.

Cody spends a day, on the range, with Cayce, working the cattle. She teases him about how he's getting good at cowboy stuff.

Cayce, and her family, get credit for Murray's recent healthy weight gain.

Just a bit of fun with Cayce, Colonel McKenna, some other relatives and the boys. A wee bit of Irish lore and some education as well as music. The Unicorn Song is up on You Tube.

Cody suffers from lingering, and delayed, symptoms of a concussion after the case of the King Harbor Bomber is solved.

The detectives spend the Christmas holidays at Cayce's ranch. No longer guests they are treated like family by everyone - especially her cousins Dan and Josh.

The McKennas, the Riptide detectives and a slew of volunteers put on a Christmas concert at Fort Irwin where Colonel McKenna is currently stationed.

A few minor problems, and one scary incident, as the Riptide detectives vacation at the Lazy M and visit Cayce's wildlife refuge in Nevada.

Cayce McKenna celebrates her 25th birthday with her family - blood kin and adopted - with a day at the fair and a barbecue.

Sort of a follow up/tag/What happened next to The Bargain Department. Cody's looking out for Nick who was slightly wounded when he went - too late - to Hub Wheeler's rescue.

Cody's sick and Nick's gotten himself in a little scrape so Murray has to be the Mother Hen this time.

The Riptide guys are temporarily unemployed after Cody is injured in a car crash. Needing something to occupy themselves they head to the Lazy M and help Cayce sort through old photographs and such.

When Cayce McKenna is injured, by a reckless - or drunk - driver, her brothers await word of how badly she's hurt and the arrival of her Uncle Brian McKenna.

When the Riptide detectives decide to spend some time visiting Cayce McKenna nobody bargained on her spraining her ankle and having three mother hens watching over her for a week.
