Author has written 5 stories for Spirit Animals, Wings of Fire, Tui T. Sutherland, Super Smash Brothers, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and Pokémon. Hi. You can call me Ianoliano, or Ian for short. I'm just a random person writing random ideas. Sounds sad, you say? Maybe. But it’s fun to do, at least for me. Before you get to know me... Here's something concerning 'REVIEWS', which I copied from ‘Code Live’, who copied it from 'MerlinPranks 101' who copied it from 'NeonZangetsu': Writers- all of them, from famous authors to subtle FF writers- ALL depend on the feedback from our readers. Vision Dominican brought up an interesting albeit tragically true idea: "Lack of reviews is the greatest killer of fan fic writers out there. We at the institute wish to let the public know of how they can pitch in to save our dying writers. 1) Drop a review every other chapter. It may not seem like much, but reviews are actually what many of us want to see. That, and hits. Hits do make us happy but we don't really know if people like our story or not. 2) Visit our author page. Those kind of hits really make us happy. It's where we showcase our entourage of friends, beta readers, and stories. Some of us even tidy up with set areas for upcoming story ideas and character bios. 3) Send an email. While normally I'd prefer a review, emails are just as good. Really, it warms my heart to communicate with another reader or writer." What you call being "too lazy to review" is what we call "a flame to the pages" as the writers. That one minute or two that you felt "too lazy" to review is another minute of creeping discouragement that all writers feel as they begin to think... "Why am I even here…?" "What's even the point of continuing?" "My skills must be terrible…no one cares for my story…" "I'll never be a good writer...I quit." These are only a few thoughts that go through every writer's head- that go through MY head- when we put out a chapter / story with all our heart and soul within, and we sit there…and sit…and wait…and not a single person says even a word. If you're not a writer, you have NO IDEA how much that hurts… If you ARE a writer, then I'm sure you know just how great it feels when someone is kind enough to leave a heartwarming and encouraging review, and you read it, smiling while thinking…"Wow...I did it…" So, why not give fellow writers the same luxury here? Too many times I've seen epic and utterly beautiful works of literary art fall to pieces before finally being abandoned due to the terrible discouragement that the lack of reviews can cause. Sometimes, it is so severe that the very writer himself decides to quit, denying the world his skills of writing that I'm it would have deeply enjoyed. So… Just one minute, that's all it takes. Just a few gentle taps of the fingers on your keyboard, a few seconds or so of your time, and your words can SAVE a writer from a dark demise. Do me a favor: Go find a story, ANY story, anywhere here on Fanfic, net, and see if you can help it. If it has very little / no reviews at all, just check it out, and say whatever comes to mind. And enjoy the thought in mind that you could have just SAVED that story, with just a few taps of the keyboard… If you agree with what I have said then please copy and paste any part of this story you wish onto your profile. Modify it in any way you see fit; there is no need to use my exact words. You make it say what you want it to say. The Ten Commandments of Reviewing - created by FictionReader98 and Zoneshifter D, post them if you agree and use them yourself 1) Thou shalt point out the parts you enjoy Profile Moving on from that very serious talk, I will write about myself, where I'm from, who I am, etc. I will neither confirm or deny the truth in these. Gender/Sex/Complicated Self: Male Age: 13 Height: 169 cm...maybe Birthdate: 28th of Frimaire. Nationality: Taiwanese. Pet Peeves: I do not support the LGBT...Q...A...S(?), I don't know, too many letters now. I welcome criticism, since I want to improve. Oh, and one more thing. I love How To Train Your Dragon, both the books and movies, though I do think the books are a tad up from the movies, but I hate it when people don't acknowledge the books. One time I read the 1-star reviews for the books' Incomplete Books of Dragons, and half of the 2-1 star reviews were because they 'didn't include Night Furies, the main dragons of the series, ugh, so disappointed,'. WELL THE MOVIE ISN'T THE ONLY THING THAT EXISTS, OKAY?! AND SHOULDN'T YOU KNOW SOMETHING'S UP WHEN IT'S DRAWN IN THE OLD-TIMEY WAY (which I really enjoyed)?! I HATE HOW THE BOOKS ARE UNDERRATED MORE PEOPLE SHOULD READ THEM AND SEE THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE AMAZING MOVIE AND MORE PEOPLE SHOULD WRITE FANFICTION ABOUT THE BOOKS! Oh, and one more, reading word limits. Make no sense. Why have a maximum ever? Okay, I'm done. Appearance: Asian stereotype...? How I came to FanFiction So, I first discovered FanFiction on the wonderful topic of siblings. My older brother introduced me to a fanfic called 'Super Smash Short Stories'. Side note: If you haven't read it, please do, and all of the other stories the author has written. So for a while I was obsessed with Camomelon's stories. And then I discovered the rest of fanfiction, and began binge reading everything. Now there were a lot of good stuff, but ideas just kept popping in my head, and instead of scouring the net to find similar ones, I decided to write them myself. Hence, here. Story Status Moving On: I really loved writing that story, but while I do have a plan for it, I've been procrastinating on it. I do plan on writing more of it sometime, but with my other stories and school, things are complicated. Chapter 8 should be out very soon. Synopsis: Annabeth is killed during the fight against Gaia, and Percy falls into a slump. But the return of Bianca di Angelo just might distract him for a while. And maybe bring a whole new relationship. Legend of Xanthe: This was my first long-term story, and while I had fun writing it, and there's an actual ending, I've lost interest in writing it. So...uh, I might finish it? It's hard to say. Synopsis: Sadre invades the city of Phos Astos, prompting the princess to send someone to find the legendary artifacts, the Wildcat's Claw, Heart of the Land, Dragon's Eye, and Stormspeaker to stop him. Shepherd to King: This is my first complete story. And yeah, it's not very good. It was just a 'try something new' thing. It's just there for sentimental value. I don't care about it. Synopsis: Marth, a minor shepherd, is foretold to be the next King of Ismash. Unfortunately, the current king doesn't like that too much. The Dragonet Prophecy: Alternate Timeline: I actually really, really, really want to continue this story. I love it, I've never seen any story like it, et cetera. But I have no idea where to go from where it is now. I've hit a wall. A block in the story. So...if any of you have any ideas, let me know. It would be really helpful. Synopsis: Same old twenty year war, but for some reason, Pantala drifted close to the original continent, and suddenly, they're all fighting to take over the queenless sand kingdom. Seven dragonets, all with special powers, because that's cliche but fun to write, have to save the day. Legend of Daybreak: My newest story, and already my longest one. Mostly because I wrote five chapters before posting. This story will be really, really long. And my update schedule is very, very varied. So...I hope it works out? It's currently only on chapter six, but another chapter should come out by the weekend. Synopsis: Ash Ketchum is sent to kill the girl who is fated to release Giratina, who terrorized the world millennia before. Dawn is that girl, a lowly slave, unbeknownst that she might bring ruin to the world. Ash sets out to kill her, but love gets in the way of things. When you carry a Bible, the devil gets a headache When you open it, he collapses When he sees you reading it, he faints When he sees you living it, he flees Just when you try to re-post this, he will try to discourage you. Can you hear that voice that says this is silly and so are you if you re-post this? I just defeated him. Copy and paste this on your profile (if you have one) if you're in God's army and strong enough to pick up the sword. |
