I've been a member of ff.n since 2001, and only now am I filling out this profile. I have no idea what that says...

General stuff first, I guess. I'm a huge Chuck, Smallville, and Vampire Diaries fanfic addict, but it wasn't until I tried out one episode of UK's Being Human on Netflix that my path to writing was set. I blame Aidan Turner's Mitchell. One weekend and three seasons later, I turn to ff.n to sooth my tortured soul. Unfortunately, while there are truly phenomenal writers and stories up, I'm more of a humor/romance/adventure kinda girl, and Being Human doesn't exactly lend itself to that.

It was in the midst of that contemplation that the mother of all plot bunnies burrowed itself into my brain and refused to be evicted. Refused, I tell you! It wouldn't listen to me when I told it I'd never written anything before, that I was too busy working and going to school full time, that I simply wouldn't write it. But that plot bunny was evil and it was in my head. It knew my weakness. Suddenly Mitchell's whispering in my head, speaking with that delicious Irish lilt. "Where am I, Katie? Don't you want to help me, Katie? Think about Annie and George; they need me, and I need you. We can do this if we work together... here, I've already set the scene and I'll write my own lines, just put fingertips to keyboard and I'll do the rest..." How's a girl to resist?

I don't know if this is the start of a long and beautiful neurosis or simply a quick trip into fantasy-land. The only thing I do know is that I'm doing it and I've got Mitchell to back me up. Could be worse.
