I am an IT professional with a degree in literature so in a sense I have a foot in two worlds, the technical and the literary. Science fiction presents the perfect world to blend these two interests. I am also a bit of a romantic who likes happy endings even though we know life doesn’t always turn out that way.

I have been an avid reader all my life. I make no apologies for the bookshelves and books all over my house. From the moment I discovered my father’s set of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes as a child, I have loved the really good detective/mystery novel and from the moment I watched my first Star Trek,I have been an avid Sci-Fi fan. In 2007 I discovered the amazing world of on-line fan fiction.

I believe that all successful television shows have their foundation in good writing and excellent acting, but the most successful always have an element of “shippiness” in them because without the power of love to uplift the soul, where would we as humans be in any universe?
