Author has written 4 stories for Sherlock Holmes. Aha, the game is afoot! Hey, I've got a cool new icon thanks to KCS! Oi! Obviously, I am not talented enough to have made it--KCS did and she was also kind enough to let me use it. Thanks K, for being not only talented but generous! :D (So go read her fanfiction, she's awesome. :) ) I realize that I have forgotten entirely to put any revealing details about myself in here. Well, I am a female graduate student, I'm 23 years old (I had a birthday on June 4th!), I live in America, I love writing and reading, I'm quite fond of animals, and I hate writing profiles about myself. LOL. It's quite awkward. I've never really written fan-fiction before, but I am excited. Thank you, all other Holmes-n-Watson fans, your stories helped to inspire mine. I am amazed at the plethora (Yes, I've watched the 3 Amigos) of amazing writers on this site. You all, for lack of a better term, rock. :) Erm, a bit about how I feel about writing about H+W... I do love Holmes and Watson so, and would marry either one of them or both of them, if I'd been raised to be other than monogamous xD, (I'd be happier with Watson, I'm sure, and I'd also be less likely to throw things) BUT I like to stick to the Canon, in general, and I really do not think that I will be writing an 'insert self into their world and marry one of them' sort of fanfiction. Not that I'm saying one can't write a fic of that type and have it work, it is just not my thing. I doubt I'd be at all good at it. I digress. Let's see, what else? Well, unless the fic is marked AU, I shall try to stick to the canon, for the most part, with only occasional 'tweaks.' :D I may write OC characters, but I will do my very best to make sure that they add to the world of Holmes and Watson rather than taking attention away from it. Because I am a novice fan-fic writer, I welcome any one's comments. Unless, that is, you comment upon how horrid I am at writing profiles--I know that already, thank you. :) Lol. Anyway, advice, critiques, compliments, chocolate, comments, questions, concerns--any and all of the above would be quite welcome. --I'm home and recuperating. Sorry I've been slow updating. I'm feeling better but not 100 percent yet. Just thought I'd put up a note so you know why I haven't been updating or reading or commenting lately. Sorry.-- --Hey, if you've read either of my 'Siamese Amnesia' stories, here are two quick sketches I did of Samira and Lian. In case you care. xD And Now, A new Sketch I did of Sergeant Tommy Greene! http:///albums/o361/E_Phoenix_5/Samira.jpg http:///albums/o361/E_Phoenix_5/Lian.jpg http:///albums/o361/E_Phoenix_5/Sgt-Tommy-Greene.jpg-- With fond regards, ~~E ~"We cannot tell the precise moment when friendship is formed. As in filling a vessel drop by drop, there is at last a drop which makes it run over. So in a series of kindnesses there is, at last, one which makes the heart run over." -James Boswell, the one who was Samuel Johnson's biographer and the one whose name has come to mean a constant companion and observer. Also, of course, the man/term Holmes was referring to when he said, "I am lost without my Boswell." ~"When a man wants to murder a tiger, it's called sport. When a tiger wants to murder him, it's called ferocity". -George Bernard Shaw ~(About Holmes and Watson) "Literature never produced a relationship more symbiotic nor a warmer and more timeless friendship."-Loren Estleman ~"Love is a snowmobile racing across the tundra and then suddenly it flips over, pinning you underneath. At night, the ice weasels come." -? ~"I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by." -Douglas Adams ~And finally, a poem to amuse the author in all of us: 'Fighting Words' Say my love is easy had, Say I'm bitten raw with pride, Say I am too often sad-- Still behold me by your side. Say I'm neither brave nor young, Say I woo and coddle care, Say the devil touched my tongue, Still you have my heart to wear. But say my verses do not scan And I get me another man!--Dorothy Parker |
