zzzzzzzzzzzz...huh...oh, you want to know so much about me you just had to wake me. fine, then. i am a Christian and i am young. i enjoy writing stories whether they are fanfiction or my own creation, doesn't matter. . .however, school can get in the way. it's hard juggling school, writing, reading, friends, and of course sleep. that's all you need to know now if you'll excuse me i have some unfinished business...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

On the Works: [10/08/14]

Currently I am in the works with a new story. My plan is to finish the story at the end of November, edit it in December, and post it throughout the month of January 2015. I will probably post a chapter every other day.

Title: The Land of Clockwork

Category: Infernal Devices

Rating: Probably T

Current Word Count: 9,395

Description: Tessa Gray has fallen, quite literally, head first into another world that challenges her perceptions on reality, tests her ability for survival, and questions her own sanity. Will she be able to survive in this new chaotic world with the help of other survivors she meets or will she fall harshly at the feet of the Clockwork? And, even more importantly, will she be able to find her way out of this world and back home or will she possibly change her mind on the way?

Side Note: If I can stick to this plan this will be the first story I have completed for this site before posting it. I have always been posting chapters of stories while I write them and that is causing problems when I get writer's block or wanting to go back and change something. If this works then I will be publishing stories in this format: Finish the story, then edit, then post. That way there will be not so many incomplete stories on hiatuses. Thank you for everyone who has posted reviews for my stories, I very much appreciate them, and I am sorry if you are following a story that is currently in a hiatus status.

Update [12/21/2016: Cannot find copy on my computer will have to see if I can find a hard copy of it.*

If you have any questions (about my fanfiction stories...ect...) feel free to message me and if it is something I can answer I will get to you as soon as you can.

Note: I have read all these books and while I would recommend some there are a few I would recommend highly not to read. If you want to know which books I would recommend you stay away from and which you might want to read feel free to message me and I'll respond as soon as I can.

My favorite book or series of the whole list is...

do you think you know what it is...

it's not Twilight, Gallagher Girls, or Darkest Powers even though those are the books I'm writing fanfiction for...

nor is it any of the books I've already stated after the vampire book list...

do you still think you know...

nope, i'll give you hint it deals with the supernatural, just not vampires...

:.alright, drum roll please.:

it is Old Magic by Marianne Curley

You might not have heard of it, but it's a really good book I've enjoyed it. It's a little tough to get through in the beginning, but then it's get better, much better. One of my favorite scenes is later in the book, I don't know where I'd have to look for it. But I'm not telling you what it is nor am I going to give a full depth description of the book. If you want to know what my favorite scene is or the summaries for any of the books I've listed you will just have to e-mail me. Until then the last thing I will write is that Old Magic was written in Australia just so you know, but you can get it in the U.S.

(Alternate First or Second Chapter of Past, Present, and Future)

June 18, 2024

Tuesday

Today Joshua had decided to take a walk in the early morning. Terrible choice, he knew. His family never wanted him or his siblings out much and for a good reason. The world had grown dark, and murderous. Going anywhere was dangerous and having Emma shown up at a police station hadn’t loosened, but tightened the restrictions for Joshua and his siblings.

His family wanted them to be safe they all knew that, but Joshua couldn’t stand being cooped up in the house any longer. He needed to be out even when the outside was gloomy.

Horrid screams, coldness shouts filled the air surrounding Joshua. He kept walking anyway, keeping a certain pace, and never shifting his head from straight ahead. He knew there were murders, rapes, even suicides being committed all around him, but there wasn’t anything he could do about. His only power was hearing thoughts, which now he desperately wished he didn’t have.

…slice to the throat and she’ll bleed to death…

…how I enjoy the screams of pain, it’s a rush…

…drugs, need more drugs, where are the DRUGS…

Joshua sharply turned the corner in hopes of it getting better, but if anything it was worse. In front of Joshua there was a teenage girl trying to protect a younger boy from a very intoxicated man. The man was looming over the girl, a blade in his hands. He had to have been over seven feet tall while the girl was barely over five. The girl didn’t have a chance.

Before Joshua knew what he was doing he ran over to the man. Quickly he grabbed the blade, kneed him in the groin and elbowed him in the stomach. The man stumbled backwards his eyes glazed. He was too drunk to put up much of a fight. Falling back first into the street, the cars coming didn’t stop or turn however. They simply ran over him, not caring, as his blood was quickly shed.

Staring at the dead man Joshua felt a pain of guilt followed by an even deeper pain in his side. Joshua hadn’t realized that the girl he had been trying to save took the knife from his hands and stabbed him in the side. Shifting his hand around the handle Joshua pulled the blade out with a soft whimper of pain. He looked up to see the girl caring the boy inside the hotel, head held high.

Gratitude much, what was even the point? Joshua thought as he placed his hand over his wound. Sighing he started walking back to his home regretting the trip outside. He couldn’t understand how people had turned so cold, so ungrateful. Had it always been like this? He couldn’t remember a time where it wasn’t.

Soft paces followed his and Joshua quickly turned around to see who his pursier was. Terror had gripped his heart for a few moments before he realized who it was.

Jacqueline, a schoolmate of his, with an apologetic look sketched on her face. “Sorry about what happened back there,” she said softly. Her head tilted in the direction of the spot where Joshua had been stabbed.

“It’s not your fault,” Joshua replied roughly. “You weren’t the one holding the blade.” He turned back around continuing back to his house. His mother wouldn’t be very happy when he arrived home bleeding, but at least his grandfather could treat him. There was a positive and negative side of arriving home.

“Still though, I’m sorry. You were only trying to help.” Jacqueline equally kept step with him as they drifted down the side walk trying to ignore the pleas of mercy.

“Last time I ever do that,” Joshua almost shouted as Jacqueline cringed from his tone. Sighing he added in a smoother voice, “Everyone these days just don’t understand kindness anymore.”

“Well I wouldn’t say ‘everyone,’” Jacqueline replied putting a hand to his shoulder. She steered him to the left noticing the large gang that had been ahead of him.

“Thanks,” Joshua replied seeing the gang.

“Guess you can’t go home, seeing as your way is blocked.”

Joshua smirked he always knew back up ways to getting somewhere. “I wouldn’t say that. Follow me.” He gently grabbed her hand making sure she didn’t get lost as the plunged into a crowd on the sidewalk.

Weaving their way through they reached an alley behind an apartment building. Jacqueline stared at him confused as he released her hand and started climbing up the ladder that went up to the roof top of the apartment.

“Are you coming?” Joshua asked looking down noticing Jacqueline hadn’t followed.

Jacqueline looked across the alley, shrugged, and started climbing. They both safely made it to the top as Joshua went over to the left side of the roof top. He slid down carefully as Jacqueline unnerved footsteps followed. Helping Jacqueline onto the apartment balcony when she had arrived, her expression was uneasy.

“Isn’t this trespassing?” she hissed through her teeth as Joshua set her down.

Chuckling, Joshua leaned down, and whispered into her ear, “Not when you know the resident.” He pulled back and walked into the apartment through the double doors, not even noticing the blush creeping into Jacqueline’s cheeks.

“Hey Emmett,” Joshua called out casually to his uncle. It was easier to pretend his uncles and aunts were family friends of his. Instead of trying to come up with an explanation of why they were so much younger than him.

“Hey Josh. Who’s your friend?” Emmett bellowed. He came out of the kitchen with a dishtowel drying off his hands, acting as if he were making dinner. A smirk spread across his face as he eyed Joshua and Jacqueline’s close proximity.

Jacqueline cowered behind Joshua afraid of the size of Emmett. She barely kept herself from grabbing the back of Josh’s shirt.

“Jacqueline, a school friend of mine, we ran into each other on the side walk.” Jacqueline and Emmett shook hands quickly as Jacqueline still cowered a bit.

Emmett shifted his gaze toward Joshua. “Aren’t you supposed to be at home, not wandering the streets?” His gaze shifted to the cut on Joshua’s side knowing all too well what happened.

“And since when have you become a parent,” Joshua replied as Emmett’s eyes narrowed at him.

“I’ll get you later for that, when you’re fixed up,” Emmett promised, smirking. He went back into the kitchen without another word.

Jacqueline looked at Joshua questionably as Joshua simply grabbed her wrist tugging her to the front door.

“We haven’t reached our destination, yet,” Joshua replied opening the door. “Say hi to Rose for me,” Joshua called out to Emmett.

“The elevators broken,” Emmett said as Joshua and Jacqueline left.

Taking Emmett’s word Joshua and Jacqueline jogged down the steps. Knowing Emmett, Joshua knew that once he was healed again Emmett would be at his house for payback. Who knows what prank or humiliation he’ll give this time.

The door to the room at the end of the hall was already open as they went towards it. Alice stood outside next to the doorframe her eyes wavering at Joshua, his cut, Jacqueline, and their combined hands.

“Took you long enough,” Alice said in a sad voice. Her eyes looked at Jacqueline gratefully. Joshua knew then that Alice had seen what would’ve happened to Joshua if Jacqueline hadn’t changed his direction path. He grimaced at the thought.

Walking into the bright highly furnished apartment they saw Jasper watching T.V. He of course wasn’t paying attention only acted like it. Joshua and Jacqueline rushed over to the window climbing out Jasper right behind them.

Once they were out and safely on the ground Jasper closed the window as Alice waved at them. Joshua waved back quickly before turning right and running around the corner. Jacqueline followed as they made twists and turns ignoring all noises until they finally reached Josh’s house. It took almost twenty minutes to get there, but they made it.

Walking in Joshua called his grandfather, who because of his age acted as his adoptive parent. Jacqueline made herself at home sitting next to Emma who stared blankly at the television. She tried to make small talk with her, having made brief encounters with her prior. But the effort was useless, Emma stayed silent as Joshua went to get treated for his cut.
