Author has written 39 stories for Song of the Lioness, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Protector of the Small Quartet, Star Wars, Hobbit, Captain America, and Doctor Who. Welcome. I am Argenteus Draco, the Silver Dragon. I suppose you could call me a Muse. A strange, unearthly voice seemed to whisper as the breeze whistled through the trees: “I’ll still be here…” This is a place of strange happenings, and even stranger characters. I once attempted to explain them, but I have recently decided that there is no explanation for them, the same as there is really no explanation for me. I’m afraid, if you’re truly curious, you will have to read their stories, and decide for yourself what you think of them… “Cel was tall, with strong shoulders and a firm stance. And those eyes… bright, clear blue the color of ice, at once both harsh and sorrowful.” I write whatever and whenever a fancy strikes me to. Updates are spontaneous, rather like myself. I currently have several fics in their first drafts, awaiting that final spark of inspiration, and many ongoing projects of both original design and fanfiction. I write because I want to, because I have something to say; not because I am looking to meet the demands of reviewers… “He looked up: proud grey eyes met sorrowful blue, met thoughtful green, and then returned to the floor in front of him.” You may have noticed that none of the quotes I’ve used thus far are from my posted work. The first is from a re-working of one of my original fics, way back in seventh grade. The next is from an original short story, but Cel began as an original character for a Lord of the Rings fic. And the third is from one of my current undertakings: a Harry Potter fic entitled Fencing Lessons… “The theatre is dark. The front curtain is open; the backdrop is black. There are no props. When the audience is quiet, a light will be projected onto the backdrop, displaying the phrase “In Ferro Veritas (In iron there is truth).” Then the light will fade.” Can you tell where my passions lie? My other love is music, the one language that transcends all barriers. I am a performer, a composer, and a student. Once, melody inspired me to write prose. Now, a certain piece of prose has helped re-inspire melody… “The professor looked at him a moment, then asked, “How do you feel about mallets?” Since Draco’s first thought was of a large hammer, he really didn’t know what to answer...” So that’s it really. May my writing inspire you the way others have inspired me. A Side Note: Those of you who follow me will no doubt have noticed my penchant for long, sprawling works left mostly unfinished. Rest assured, I have not abandoned Something Like Rebirth; it is merely on hiatus while I rework parts of the story. In the meantime, you can expect more one shots, vignettes, and a possible return to an old Harry Potter story that I posted a teaser for a number of years ago. |
