Author has written 3 stories for Stargate: Atlantis. Country: USA Real Name: Skye Graham Gender: female Age: old enough Eye Color: blue Hair Color: blonde Residence: a small town near the Texas coast Marital Status: single Occupation: artist and writer I have been reading since I was a little girl. My mother drove me and my sister to a neighboring town to visit the huge public library there. I wrote my first story when I was in high school. It was a modern romance inspired by Georgette Heyer, but real life got in the way and I spent the next 20 years working in the field of art eduction. I took early retirement when my mother became ill in October 2006. Currently I write, make art and crafts, greeting cards, and scrapbooks. I had been watching Stargate Atlantis for five seasons when the show was canceled; I turned to Stargate Atlantis fan fiction to continue the SGA journey. There I found some wonderful stories by some excellent writers. These talented writers continued to keep Stargate Atlantis alive with stories the original writers should have thought of but didn't. I had been reading fan fiction for a year and a half when I found myself actually writing and finishing a story. I left it on my hard drive where it lived for a while. One day I decided to PM several of my favorite authors. One thing led to another and I published my first story on fan fiction. As you will probably note, in my first writing and in those to follow, John Sheppard and Rodney McKay are my favorite characters. I don't read or write slash. I can't read horrendous physical or mental torture; it depresses me for days. l try to put a little humor in my stories. All stories take place after season five. All my stories are dedicated to my sister, Joyce, for all her love and encouragement. She puts up with me, lives with me in our family home and balances my check book. What a great sister. I would also like to dedicate my stories to my four favorite authors/ friends/ mentors: godsdaughter77 I thought her story, Accidents, was so wonderful I kept writing her and begging that she finish it. That started our correspondence. She gave me advice and read my first story. She started me on this journey and helped me realize my dream to write. She is my best and most favorite Beta! stella_pegasi is a prolific writer who can write more words in a chapter than any other author I have ever seen. She tells such great stories; she should be writing professionally. I was particularly taken with her story Road Trip. I have lost many a night's sleep reading and rereading her great stories. She has encouraged me to write. icemeanice saved John Sheppard in the desert in her story, Not a Hero, and didn't let him die. She went on to give him a new life and rewrite the Sheppard story like no other could. She also is a friend and mentor. shepardlover928 caught me with her portrayal of 'flyboy' John Sheppard as 'hero.' Friends from the first email we share the same ideal that friendship and loyalty are essential to life. Tentaclely Challenged is probably one of the most interesting ways for Shep whump I have ever read. It made even me shudder and squee all at the same time! Thank you ladies. Skye Graham. Update: Watch for these coming stories: Missing: Sheppard goes missing in Atlantis. What happened to him? John Sheppard, Meet Atlantis...Finally: It started with the doors opening before he got to them, then moved to the lights flickering as he passed. Now a whispering voice in his head had John Sheppard wondering what or who was trying to tell him something. |
