Author has written 7 stories for Sonic the Hedgehog, and Fire Emblem. As of August 3rd, I have a tumblr account! It's still new, so if you want, check it out. Link: And as of April 29th, there's another tumblr account that's about asking the character's from "Gray Flame"! Ask away if you want! Link: AO3 (Archives of Our Own): http:///users/gamerprincess13/profile NOTE: "Gray Flame", as of now, is discontinued as my writing style has drastically changed compared to now (especially Perfectionist Complex). I'll do a (kind-of) reboot of "Gray Flame" retitled "Gray Flame: Hot Tales". Some ideas will still remain the same (human characters, High School AU, most of their names, etc.), though it's now in a short-story style all taking place in the same universe; with Blaze and Silver being the primary focus. The release date for the new edition will come up very soon. gamerprincess13's Recommendations (fanfics, web series, comics, books, anime, etc.): (Basically, this list is about what I think is great, that I want you guys to check them out! And the list will be updated. Just saying.) Fanfics: Not Another Love Story by Cascore (Mario fanfic): This story is a High School AU story featuring Luigi and Daisy (my favorite Mario couple), and my all time favorite story with them. Not to mention it's my main motivation to write a High School story to begin with. His writing style is unique, focuses on other characters besides the main two, and keeps you wanting for more. Even though this story is still incomplete, you should check this out. Rogue Fox Armageddon Soul by SyxxFox (Star Fox fanfic): I don't know where to begin with this fanfic. This is the first fanfics I've gotten addicted to, and I've read this when I was 11 years old. And to date, I still look at it and relive my memories as a middle school student, patiently waiting for the next chapter to come out so I can see how this story would end. There's a sequel to this story, though I haven't been looking at it too much. A really great story full with action and drama, it'll leave you begging for more. Web Series: Smash King by Tigura21 (a SSBB Machinima): "An unlikely hero... In an unlikely scenario..." I came across this when I was only twelve years old, and thought to myself "This is going to be an interesting machinima to watch", as it features Bowser (of all characters) as the star. It tells the story of Bowser and his teammates, Peach and Meta Knight, competing in a tournament called "Smash King" (hence the title). While competing, things from Bowser's past starts to appear again, and is involved in a plot to destroy the world of Brawl. Interesting plot with a unique set of characters you'd never expect to be the main characters in a Brawl machinima (such as Bowser, Wario, Sonic, etc.). A great series to watch! LPS: Popular by sophiegtv: Yes, LPS stands for Littlest Pet Shop (those small and adorable toys). Really, I never thought using LPS toys for a teen drama could work out that well. LPS: Popular tells the story about Savannah 'Savvy' Reed who's a new student to the Orange County Day (OCD for short) and dreams to reunite with her BFF Brooklyn 'Brooke' Hayes who moved three years ago, only to find out she's popular and the Queen Bitch of the school, not wanting to be friends with Savvy anymore. Now, Savvy and her two new best friends try to take down Brooke's empire and be the new queens of the school. However, with problems with boys, drama from Brooke, and eating disorders, this ain't going to be easy. A really good watch, currently on it's 2nd season. Death Battle by Screwattack: Get this idea: two characters that are similar go against each other to the fight to the death. Sounds fun, right? Hell yeah it does! Not to mention entertaining! They go into great detail on their character (and use real world facts... shown their work a lot) before the battle starts, and then use those facts mention in the breakdown in the battle! And yes, Goku vs Superman is already there... Currently on their third season. Movies: Wreck-it-Ralph: A video game villain wants to be a hero and sets out to fulfill his dream, but his quest brings havoc to the whole arcade where he lives. The first time I saw the trailer to the movie while watching Brave on my 16th birthday, I knew I had to watch this movie because it has tons of video game references in there :D (including Sonic, Bowser, Ryu, Pac Man, etc.)! Not to mention that it has the best quotes I've heard in a kids movie: "I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me." Very touchy. Recommended to all video game lovers, new and old. Anime/Manga: Puella Magi Madoka Magica: This anime is about a 14-year old girl name Madoka Kaname who's life changed when a creature named Kyubey offers her and her best friend, Sayaka Miki, an offer to have any wish granted if they become magical girls and defeat evil creatures call witches (not the ones with the pointy hats and broom sticks). However, transfer student Homura Akemi doesn't want Madoka to make the contract for a good reason. This may seem like your ordinary magical girl series at first, but once you hit Episode 3, you'll be like this: O_o (WTF?!). After that, every episode will leave you in a cliffhanger! 12 episodes, all on Crunchyroll, and it's amazing. Go watch it and be amazed by it's brilliance! Neon Genesis Evangelion: This sci-fi anime takes place in a future city named Tokyo-3 in the year 2014 where 14-year-old Shinji Ikrai is chosen to pilot a robot called an Evangelion (or EVA for short) and fight against creatures named Angels in order to prevent the destruction of humanity. Sounds like a simple plot, right? Yes, until you hit around the half-way point where things start to grow creepy and disturbing. The story is unique and unpredictable (that's a good thing), every characters (even the minor characters) have well-rounded personalities and backgrounds, and the music is amazing! And like with Madoka, you'll never think the Mecha genre the same way again. Most anime sites have this anime and if you do find it in either English or Japanese, go ahead and watch all 26 episodes! Serial Experiments Lain: 14-year old Lain Ikakura is an ordinary girl with little knowledge of computers... until she received an e-mail from a classmate named Chisa who committed suicide, saying she killed herself because she didn't need her body and exists in 'The Wired'. When Lain asked why, Chisa claimed with: "Because God is here". After that, Lain's life starts to change. At first, I didn't want to watch this series since I thought it would be boring, but after watching the first two episodes, I was instantly hooked! The story, the characters, and the animation was brilliant! Yes, the story can be confusing, but the creator intended to do that (just like with Slaughterhouse 5), which is what makes this anime unique! Recommended for those who are into cyberpunk anime. |
