Author has written 10 stories for Chronicles of Narnia, Twilight, Divergent Trilogy, Lord of the Rings, H.I.V.E., and NCIS. Righty-ho, hello everyone :) . Seeing as this is the internet, and nothing's really private here, I've named myself Cailín (if anyone is interested, cailín is pronounced as 'kawleen', meaning 'girl' in Irish (really original I know), and the English/American version is 'Colleen'). Anyways, I'm a 16 year old from England, though I have the reading and writing age (or whatever it's called) of an adult, and have been reading non-kids/non-fiction books since the age of 11 and below. Oh, and I'm partly Irish, if you're wondering why an English teenager has an Irish pen name. Also, I'm seriously sorry about the lack of updates that I do, I'm in the middle of studying for my public exams (which I will have every year until university (yay.)) and I have pretty much no free time due to revision and work. The fact that I can't access FF most of the time doesn't help either. So yeah, apologies for the really long hiatuses. Generally just don't expect updates, I'm terrible at actually sitting down and writing stuff. (Sorry!) FF stories: The Chronicles of Narnia: What Happened Next and Susan Remembers (on hiatus) Divergent: Susan's Story (on hiatus) and A Mother's Tale Twilight: You're Still The Same (on permanent hiatus (a hiatus is actually temporary, but let's ignore that small problem)) Lord of the Rings: A Dwarvish Arrival, An Unexpected Visitor and A Remembrance (on hiatus) NCIS: Close To Death's Door (finished) H.I.V.E.: An Encounter (finished) Favourite books/TV programmes/films/etc. Books: TV programmes: Films: Plays: Everything else: Quotes: "Both your friend and your enemy think you will never die." - Irish Saying "A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in." Greek Proverb "You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life." - Winston Churchill "Pick battles big enough to matter, small enough to win." - Jonathan Kozel "Life is like an onion. Why is life like an onion? Because you peel away layer after layer and when you come to the end you have nothing." - Yiddish Proverb "Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday." Don Marquis "Don't mistake my silence for ignorance, don't mistake my calmness for acceptance. And most of all, don't mistake my kindness for weakness." - Unknown "Not all those who wander are lost." - JRR Tolkien OoOoOoO "What idiot put an 's' in 'lisp'?" "They say "Guns don't kill people, people kill people." Well I think the guns help. If you stood there and yelled BANG, I don't think you'd kill too many people." (But then, a gun won't randomly decide to shoot anyone either (look at the next one)) "So if guns kill people, I guess pencils misspell words, cars drive drunk, and spoons make people fat." "Tell a man there are 300 billion stars in the Universe and he'll believe you. Tell him a chair has wet paint on it, and he'll have to touch it to be sure." "There are two ways to argue with a woman. Neither works." "Never underestimate the power of human stupidity." "Always borrow money from a pessimist. They don't expect it back." "Smile. It scares people." "Sincerity is the key. If you can fake that, you've got it made." "You can't judge a book by its movie." "Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them more." "Everybody makes mistakes. The trick is to make mistakes when nobody's watching." "Half the world is composed of idiots, the other half are people clever enough to take indecent advantage of them." "The light at the end of the tunnel is the the headlamp of an oncoming train." "It could be worse - it could be raining." (I live in England, by way of explanation) "The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who don't have it." "That's the remarkable thing about life. No matter how bad it gets it can always get worse." "If at first you do succeed, try not to look astonished." "If it jams, force it. If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway." "If no one uses it, there's a reason." "Any book worth banning is worth reading." General (and useful) info about myself: I do K-T ratings only, I will do slash if it is part of the original storyline but not otherwise (absolutely nothing against it in most cases, but I normally stick to canon stuff), I have a high reading and writing age/ability, so I'm not easily bemused by most things, I hate discrimination towards anyone, I can be sarcastic (apologies to those unfamiliar with it (hence the sarcastic quotes above)), I will always be polite but I'll also be honest, I do MUN (Model United Nations) and I keep up to date with the news, I'm interested in History, Politics, International Relations, Law and English and I read a lot and pretty much all genres, as well as various non-fiction. So yeah, there you go. And if you actually read all of that, I'm really quite impressed. Thanks! (Extra) useful info: If there is anything anyone would like me to write, I will try. Please feel free to PM me if you want to ask anything; I'm happy to help, and I will try to get back to you as soon as I can. If you read any of my FanFictions, please review! I'll reply ASAP, though it may have to wait a week or two until I go home and actually have access to this website (school blocks it). Please give me advice on what to improve on, or if I have gotten anything wrong. Oh, and I am not American, and therefore I will not be using American spellings/grammar etc. You have been warned. :) Cailín |
