This is just a really touching story. It is not a curse or anything.

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.

The boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old.

The Cashier said, 'I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll.'

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ''Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?''

The old lady replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.''

Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look a round. She left quickly.

The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.

Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to.

'It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for Christmas.

She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her.'

I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.

But he replied to me sadly. 'No, Santa Claus can't bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there.'

His eyes were so sad while saying this. 'My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.''

My heart nearly stopped.

The little boy looked up at me and said: 'I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall.'

Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me 'I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won't forget me.'

'I love my mommy and I wish she doesn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.'

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. 'Suppose we check

'OK' he said, 'I hope I do have enough.' I added some of my money to his with out him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.

The little boy said: 'Thank you God for giving me enough money!'

Then he looked at me and added, 'I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give It to my sister. He heard me!''

'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose.''

'My mommy loves white roses.'

A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket.

I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started.

I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind.

Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl.

The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.

Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.

I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.

I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine.

And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.

Now a story i dreamed of! It was cool cause i wasn't even in the story, it was all my friend instead, but i did dream it.

So i had a crush on a guy at school. We were only friends and all, but i knew he would never want me. I'm a freak, i sometimes fear walking down the halls just to think that one of the bullies would push me to the wall and kill me. I lack being social, i'm never invited to parties of events. I can't walk to my next class without being called fat, or a loser, a freak, cusre words, a nobody. Then i read Maximum Ride. I could not stop. I had a new feeling in myself, and that feeling was simple bravery.

I was walking down the hall, seeing my crush. I was going to talk to him in the morning like friends do. Then came the bully. He was teasing me, saying i'm worthless. With my new feeling bubbling up inside me, being a puerto rican girl, there is one thing you must not do, get a spanish girl angry. I stopped right in the hallway, turned around, and faced the boy.

"I may not be pretty to look at, i may never have a guy like me, i may never be invited to a party, i may be a freak, i may not be perfect. But if you want a freaking perfect girl, go to namby pamby land, got to a walmart, and buy a freaking Barbie. I will not be imtimidated, i will not be put down, and i can tell you for sure i will not let myself break down. You think i'm not nice, go look in a mirror because you think its all good, can you look in the mirror and say one good thing that makes you a good person, huh oh that's right you can't cause you are just like me. You must of been broken up and crubled up and have heard people say you are worthless. Well listen to me cause if you stoop down to their level, its just as bad. If i can rise up to you, you can do it to them. Don't let them get into you. Deep down inside of you, there is a good person in there, but you are just playing a bad guy, you are playing their game. Don't let them win, times will be suckish, but if you fight for what is right, victory will be on your side. And you won't be alone, so stop playing bad cop and get with the program!" I left the boy mouth wide open. I went on with my day, i didn't get the chance to talk to my crush.

The next saturday i was buying some video games. As i walked down the street i saw my crush 15 feet away from me. He stopped me to say hi and chat. He had to tell me something so me sat.

"You have to promise not to tell anyone this until i'm ready." I nodded and he whipered in my ear. "I finally have a girlfriend." I didn't feel sad at all, well maybe a little bit. But he was happy, so that's what mattered to me. We talked and then we said bye and i continued to walk. Soon after i heard a crash.

Everything was slow motion. My crush was ran over by a driver. I ran to the car. He was bleeding really bad. When i was going to help him, the driver pushed me away.

"Leave him die or die with him." Ok, so if you were in my position, you would back away right? Nope, i ran to my crush and he pushed me again pulling out a knife. So now what do you do? Let someone die, or die trying. I chose die trying. Let's just say 2 things; 1) Spanish people don't give up easly, 2) Fighting runs in the family. He tries stabbing me with all his force. I quickly move to my side and kick him from behind. He gets back up and i quickly give him an upper cut, to my surprise knocking him out. I run to my crush and see how bad it is. His torso was pretty messed up.

"Call the police already!" I screamed picking him up. His girlfriend came running and screamed at the bloody area. "Come on stay with me! Don't give up now, you have a wonderful life ahead of you." He kept on slipping in and out. "You have a girlfriend who loves you, you go to a magnet school, boy if you die now i swear i will kill myself, so don't." Finally the ambulance came. The girlfriend didn't want to go, so i hopped in and stayed with my friend.

He wasn't my crush anymore, he had a wonderful life with that girl and i didn't want to mess that up. He kept on calling out my name. I held his hand to calm him down. Within a while we got to the hospital. When i was in the waiting room, i notice my clothes were bloody. I had a check up to see if there was any injuries, only minor scraches. I got new clothes and shoes and washed my bloodstained hair. Soon after i got to see him.

"Hey, how are you feeling?"

"Like freaking hell, you?"

"Minor scratches, smell like blood. You know your girlfriend is freaking out on you."

"So you met her, she annoys me."

"Then why is she your girlfriend?"

"She was a filler for someone else. Please don't talk about her."

"What, she gives you mingranes that can control computers?"

"So you know about Maximum Ride eh?"

"Yeah, i thought i was the only one?"

"There is over 15,000 of us." The girlfriend came storming in.

"What do you think you are doing? Trying to steal my boyfriend huh?" She questioned.

"No, i'm talking to my friend that so happens to be your boyfriend. I'm going to let you guys talk while i get something to eat."

"Bring me something too!" My friend commanded. "And don't blackmail me with anything."

"No promises." I walked into the doctor.

"Are you getting food for your boyfriend?" The doctor asked.

"Oh he isn't my boyfriend, just a friend and yeah i'm getting food." The doctor smiled and i continued walking. I came back with his food, only to stop at the door to listen to screaming.

"Who is it? Do you love me, or that chick." Me knowing my friend, he needed an excuse to stop talking. I stormed into the room.

"Well that chickita just brought in some food." He mouthed "thank you" and i smiled. As i was walking out he said.

"Don't leave." Which made the girl huff, and i just simply sat down. I could tell he wanted to stall as much time as he could, so i just started singing.

"Your voice is like a cat dieing." She said.

"Have you listened to yourself." I responded.

"Please, don't get angry at each other." My friend requested.

"You'll just break a nail." I said. "I'll go before i claw her face out."

"No please."

"She annoys me, and i don't want to hurt her fragile body. Maybe if you tell the truth, i wouldn't have to do this. I will blackmail you with this."

"Don't hurt my man!" The girl yelled.

"You couldn't even be there for your man, so you should be there for him, and no promises." He tried to make me stay, but i continued walking.

"Did you have a break up sweety?" A coco skinned woman asked.

"No, he was never my boyfriend, i'm just a friend."

"Not just that, you saved his life. Without you he would of died right there."

"Doesn't seem like it."

"Let me guess, you're going to black mail him with it?"

"Yep, but later. I'm going home."

"Well i wouldn't do that, the family is coming in one minute. You should just stay a little longer." I nodded, only to see the family right in front of me.

"Are you the person that saved my boy's life?" The woman asked. I nodded in reply as the hugged me tightly.

"No! I saved his life!" The girlfriend screamed at the woman.

"I'm sorry miss, but you are wrong. This little girl right here saved the boy's life, and i have the evidence." A newscaster said. The family asked me question after question until i couldn't answer anymore.

"Well thank you anyway, do you know my son miss?" The mom asked.

"Yes, i'm his friend."

"Oh i rember you, he always would talk about you when he got home after school." The woman chuckled. What did she mean by that?

Hours later, they said he made it through surgery. I didn't even know he had surgery! They let us see him one last time. I was the last one in the room. I walked up to his side.

"Still feel like hell?"

"Nah, only sore."

"Good, you got me worried."

"I did?"

"Yes, if you were to die, your ladyfriend would of killed me and guess who would have to say that you are dead all around in school."

"Oh, well that made sense now."

"Well i guess i'll go now. See ya, oh wait."

"Yes?"

"Who was the real person you liked?" I whispered. He pulled me closer and crashed our lips together. We were frozen there until we ran out of breath.

Anyway MY BIRTHDAY! WOOT! April 11th is coming up and I'm really happy for that. Um...oh! I'm packed this month with Fine Arts. (I had to cancel my own birthday bash for that.) I think it's on the 26th and 27th of April. Um...Honor Band! I'm preforming at Busch Gardens on May 3rd. And yeah. That's it, so bye.
