I guess that's my problem - I'm always trying to beat the clock; outrun the universe... Like nothing can change me, as long as I change first. Personal Info Hello stranger who has decided to venture past my stories and onto my profile. Since I probably don't know you. My name's *insert real name of your choosing*. On here, I prefer being called Rev. -- Insert personal backstory of your choosing here My avatar is a picture of me taken at Green Park in London, its one of my most treasured memories. Likes: Music, Books, Movies, Games (wow so generic), writing, and creating characters. Favs: - I live for romance plots. Enough said. - Anything on Vinyl I've got all my dads old records such as his original Rolling Stones first editions, but I also love newer stuff like Kendrick Lamar (Arctic Monkey's by god are my favourite on vinyl) - My love for books is odd, I love classic literature but also love YA and anything along those lines, I'm currently reading Mortal Engines and it's probably my favourite of 2018 (subject to change) - Scott Pilgrim and Archie comics are my guilty pleasures I own all the Visual novels for Scott Pilgrim and own hundreds of Archie Comics, love the Scott Pilgrim movie (Ramona Flowers is probably one of my favourite characters in existence) and the CW show Riverdale as consequence (Archie is a f&$kboy in the show because he's a f&$kboy in the source material, seriously) - I love RPG's, my all time favourite being the Mass Effect trilogy which was what originally got me into Fanfiction, I wrote a Mass Effect self insert when I was... 12(?) about 160k words and I'd only covered rescuing Liara (by god it was awful), but my favourite modern RPG is probably a bit controversial with it being Final Fantasy XV, I loved the message and truly enjoyed the journey more than I have almost any other single game. Now I mostly play competitive shooters with mates and Warframe - As for writing... I'm kind bad at keeping interest in my stories, I'm quick to fall in love with new fandoms and ideas that I'll throw my all into, and usually this leaves me with a wake of unfinished stories. Guilty as charged there. But I have made a resolution that I will finish my current My Hero Academia fic. Here's hoping I stick to it without finding some other story idea to fall in love with. Dislikes: Bad moods (especially my own), exceptionally short chapters (I like long reads), harems, and things left unspoken If you want to make me smile post in the review section that you took your shoes off during the reading of the story. So please enjoy yourself take off your shoes and stay awhile \(0w0)/ Quotes I'm not a very quotable person, but I like to think the things I've written for other characters are a little great in their own way. So here's some of my treasured quotes I've ever written for characters. "I’ll let you in on a little secret I found out on my own. Nobody is as two dimensional as a puzzle piece. It’s like playing a jigsaw where the pieces warp and bend and the picture is in a constant flow of change. This makes the game impossible, but that’s what makes it fun, when you think you're close to understanding … the endgame changes… and what you’ve created so far... becomes obsolete.” Alice (Annex II - Terraformars) “Zugzwang. In German, it loosely translates too. Compulsion to move. In chess, this refers to the loser. Who may or may not know they’ve lost yet, but they move anyway. Inching closer and closer to their inevitable downfall. So move.” Makasu (Embrace the Death Game - Sword Art Online) "I will weep, for besting my arch enemy means my life has no purpose." Makasu (Fantastic People and Where to Find Them - Toaru Majutsu no Index) "I could almost feel my skin brushing against his words, like clusters of tiny, tickling insects. Burrowing into my skin." Kusuri (Darker than BLCK) "I saw that look in his eyes. A one I hadn't seen in a long time. He looked out his window, to the girl laying on that picnic blanket, a pen between her teeth, notebook by her side. As if for the very first time." Philip (American Hero Academy) "Combat is apotheosis; the complement of beauty." Kusuri (Darker than BLCK) "The rain will stop eventually. Time is the only unstoppable force." Lulu "I had what I wanted. You took it away. So you're my only task now. The ending of our story… It's not going to be happy for either one of us." "I was a poor kid from a crap part of town with the family of 'terrorist mutants' as people liked to call us back then. When I joined the Black Kings, for some unknown reason, people stopped keying 'spider fucker' on my Dad's car. Funny coincidence hm?" Marcus (American Hero Academy) "It was like a dream, I couldn't remember it after I woke up, but it lingered at the back of my brain. No matter how hard I tried, I could never remember. I could see that day, as I watched the sun rise, and you sat beside me. We talked for hours, and at the end of it, as we saw the final inch of that golden star lift above the ocean. I turned to you, not for the first time, but the first time it mattered. You looked at me, the same way you'd always looked at me, but I could see it now, the love that had always been in your eyes." Marcus (American Hero Academy) Poetry I'm an amateur poet with little talent, but hey I think it's kind of fun. Here's the first poem I wrote of 2016, was supposed to do something about colour but that was shelved fast. I can't put line breaks in for some reason? Frivolous Loop - By me In time, I fragment, Stasis in the darkness I harkon forth.
For her hand to grace the infinite curvature On her cheeks unending splendors. Her voice is quaint over the curious volume, of protracted twisting nether, the distance of her grief, Unfathomable. In space, I churn, Fermenting in the light. I call for her. Crying, Tears run from her eyes in boundless streams harmless dews that strike like lightning. Howling in lament across the nebulous sea, the luminous waters, impenetrable to my light, Sorrow. In love, I squirm, Struggling for her heart I scream her name. Frivolous, OC Submission If you are submitting an OC and require the template to do so, here they are for my different stories. However please be reminded that I'm not accepting all the time and there will be little notifications at the title of each one. Only followers and favourites can have accepted OC's. Guests I wouldn't mind doing but… It's hard to add to their detail if I have to, because I can't message the guest. If you are a guest and want to submit an OC please, please send your email address. If you want privacy here is mine. revenantomega@ If you don't I understand it's just I would prefer it that way. Be free to copy and paste these templates for your own stories. I made them to be used, not to rot in my profile :P Basic Template Gender: (Should always be done first or second. I prefer gender first when devising, because it narrows down specific tropes that you want to use. Such as the girly girl or the macho man. Establishing gender first allows you to also look at the specific tropes you want to break! This should be the pivotal reason behind your devising process, such as Macho Lady and the Girly Guy. These characters are usually favourites in their fandoms for their exploratory use in breaking common stereotypes.) Name: (Depending on Fandom, names should usually be regular, however under specific conditions do get creative with names! Such as for fandoms like RWBY some part of the person's name must refer to a colour of sorts.) Personality: (Personality should always be completed before even thinking about a character's appearance, as parts of their personality should almost definitely effect their dress code and appearance. This could be general or hyper specific, for a really generic example: A character who loves horses wearing a necklace with a horse on it. Stuff like that.) Appearance: Physical descriptions (There are two ways to approach this. Number 1 is to KEEP-IT-SIMPLE this allows readers to create their own vision of the character in their heads. This way nobody is really wrong with how a character is interpreted you may have the perfect image of him/her in your head but nobody thinks the same way so every character can appear different to every person, which makes this style beautiful. The second way is to GO-ALL-OUT, while I'm not typically a fan of this style, as trying to REALLY describe a character usually turns out messy. This is a genuine style however and describing your character to the smallest feature can help keep everyone be on the same picture. For aspiring writers of fanfiction start with approach 1 it's the best in my opinion and turns out well for the most part. You don't want to get bogged down describing the way each hair on someones head twists and curls.) Clothing: (Keep this as a separate category from appearance, it just looks neater. If your character alternates clothing then don't really bother with this.) Relationship with Characters: This part may be boring, but you should consider at least MOST main characters your OC will interact with, this leaves no surprises. Plus if you get stuck wondering how your character will converse with one of the cannon characters you have this to guide you, should you go astray. (This... is where most people go wrong. Including myself. The big question where does your character, your OC. Fit into the world around them. This should always be considered with great scrutiny and having the opinion of another writer is crucial. Because let's face it, OC's that fit in with everyone and are friends with everyone just suck. I'm a victim of trying this and looking back I realise how stupid it looks.) Love interest: (Oh boy. This one is the shady one. If you're a self insert harem lord, just... Don't even bother writing this. But if you're a regular one lady/lad kind of lad/lady then this one is important. Of course your character can change their mind, especially as you think of whats best for them. Under normal circumstances there should never be more than 1 absolute max 3 names on here (In case of love triangles/squares) Think carefully about who your character will be paired with) If you want to take my basic template and adapt it to your will go ahead! My basic template has notes when creating characters and I'm not telling you to follow these specific rules. But they are there to help guide you. The templates below are for specific stories I have written for, and usually have all the things required for those stories and fandoms. American Hero Academia! Name: Hero/Villain Name: Title/Alias: Blah the Blah Gender: Age: Nationality: Occupation: Affiliation/Organization: Appearance: Personality: Likes: Loves: Dislikes: Fears: Quirks and Abilities: Moves: How they use their quirk Relationships: Quotes: "Blah, Blah, blah blah!" So they were not copy and pasted, and were henceforth not taken of anyone else's page. You can take these templates for you own profiles and stories, without any need to reference where you got it from. I don't mind, I actually prefer they be used. Forums: I am the owner of a RWBY forum called The OC Office. It is an area for aspiring RWBY writers and others equally as fond of OC's as I am to go and talk about their ideas and their OC's. It's a fun place, at least I think so :P So give it a shot and join up, we are waiting for more people to join before we really start doing proper role plays but until then. We are mostly dedicated to helping each other with our respective stories. Fanfiction Info Critical Reviewer for Hire: while I may not be that good a writer I am very good at reviewing work. So If you ever want me to review your work just send me a PM and I'll get it done when I have time! I review fairly and no factor even friendship will hinder my judgement. If I am being constructive and I'm inclined to point out errors and flaws I try to avoid offending at any cost but sometimes its unavoidable and I apologise at least three times, every time. Finally, everything I talk about, is what I'm seeing reading your fic. Don't try and argue with me. It's what I see, there and then, in the moment. If I say something about plot holes, it's because they are there at the moment of me reading it, don't bother saying it gets explained in later chapters, I don't care about that. I am an OC focused reader and writer if it does not fit that criteria I will be unmotivated to read your work, simple as that. If it doesn't have an OC in it then there is no reason I will read it. So please if you want me to check out your work it better be OC centered. So if you read this and plan on asking me to read non OC work I would kindly ask you to not to, it's just not my cup of tea. Always looking for FF friends, you can never have enough friends :) So despite seeing all my 'scary' review criteria I hope we can look past that |
