Hey all,

I'm a Californian, an avid reader and movie watcher, and sometime TV watcher, but only if it's really amazing. Except for that year I made the New Year's Resolution to watch more bad TV. I watched the entire series of Roswell, Dawson's Creek, One Tree Hill and, during a particularly low period, Secret Life of the American Teenager. I was saved from myself when I discovered Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Veronica Mars, and Firefly. (Though I confess to the occasional DC marathons because I very much love Joshua Jackson, and One Tree Hill became my crack of choice). I don't know if it's significant but my resolution the year prior to the bad TV resolution was to drink more. One MAY have led to the other.

Thank the Gods for the fanfiction sites because now I can fill the void left when my favorite shows went off the air. I'm even dabbling in writing for the first time in my life and am enjoying the hell out of it. Stats--divorced, kids, full time job and I come here for pure escapism. PS. If you are ever bored and want a new drinking game download an episode or two of Secret Life of the American teenager. Take a drink (sip, not a shot--don't say I didn't warn you) every time a character says the word SEX.
