Author has written 2 stories for Harry Potter, Hellsing, and Mass Effect. Update time: Firstly, I apologise to all my readers for the delays to my stories. I haven't forgotten them and I definitely intend to continue and complete them. Vampire Hunter - So, I've messed around a lot with Seras in the last chapter. Yes, becoming a tool of Death will change her and her powers. No feasting on souls for the ex-Draculina, but there will be other benefits. No she will not suddenly start using magic, one hugely powerful mage is more than enough for the story as is! As it is, I now have a few things to address including Anderson and Alucard for starters. I'll say this much, Alucard will not be pleased at Harry basically stealing his best toy, and Death has its own agenda on that matter. I won't be writing the Alucard/Anderson fight if I can avoid it as it's monstrous, impressive, and frankly a nightmare to do justice to. As for the rest of millennium, their goose was cooked when they invaded and they always knew it. Potter Effect - I've been wrestling with the next chapter for a while now, trying various routes for it to take. I've changed my chapter structure now however and it's bearing fruit. Currently 7k words and climbing rapidly, I expect the next chap to be around 15k, and following chapters will vary. The reason for this is I'm having to handle the entire of the first Citadel sequence with Harry's interventions. There will be some minor changes to canon in this sequence but largely as per the game, albeit with the additional character and interactions. PM me if you desperately want to see specific meetings between Harry and the named NPCs on the Citadel. I'm of two minds whether to stick in a Consort sequence, but I'm happy to tackle it if there's demand. Following chapters will basically be a chapter per mission for the storyline missions, with additional chapters covering some of the other missions, new POVs and other activities that will be going on. I will be introducing Cerberus fairly heavily even in the ME1 arc but the main changes there will be around the ME1/ME2 transition. Currently taking inspiration from a number of other stories including Harry Potter: Geth (mjimeyg), and Crisis Effect (DemonFireX). Magic will play a significant role but not in a "oh look I just bypassed the level" way. Reviews: I've had a number of really positive reviews for Hunter and Effect, and thank you to all of those who did provide constructive reviews. Having said that, if you're reviewing as a guest user I basically ignore those, sorry but most guest reviews seem to be barely disguised flames. If you don't like the way my stories are constructed, read something else. Specifically with respect to background for my stories (PE gets a few of these) yes I have established a fairly rigid background, this is for the purposes of telling the story I am writing. If I wanted to write a detailed explanation of how wizards were destroyed after HPDH I'd write a post-hogwarts story about the fall of the magical world. If you don't like the setup, that's fine, just ignore it an rationalise it any way you want to, the end result is: no more wizards, HP is the only one. I especially WANT there to be a history of conflict, unlike Harry Potter: Geth in which the wizards effectively fade away (brilliant concept btw mji), my story requires that tension and distrust, and more importantly the exposure of magic so that I can make the antagonists more richly involved and informed. I have a WiP for a Star Wars TPM era OC story, centered around a Jedi reject trained by a grey force user, and examining the impact of someone willing to use both light and dark to achieve their goals on the prequel era. The Sith and Jedi won't know what hit them when they try to combat someone who can easily use their own techniques against them. I have some other areas I might like to work in, so please let me know if you'd like to see any of the following: - Harry Potter / David Eddings (Belgariad) crossover (Inspired by Serpent Tongue) - Some of this is already written but it'll end up being immense the way I'm writing it, since it has to cover at least a five book series and possibly a second, longer series as well! Fans of Durnik will not be pleased, Harry as the man with two lives, already on his second! - A straight up Harry Potter fic - Not written any of this, not sure how I'd take it but I'm willing to have a go. Probably would involve a smart Harry and a certain amount of Dumbles bashing. Possibly humorous take on Potter-verse deus ex machinae. - Harry Potter - Self/OC Insert with a twist (OC as a non-human) - I have some of the beginning of this written, it's a really fun concept and I'm happy to work on it if anyone wants to see it. - Mass Effect - OC Insert - I like this idea, and really want to write it, but I'm not sure how to go about it. Having just another soldier wouldn't work very well due to canon being so ridiculous, but superpowers are bad! Possibly a cerberus operative or a second Spectre candidate OC. If you like my writing style and have any suggestions please feel free to send them over and I'll let you know if I think I can do them justice. I do have some early drafts of some of the items above if anyone is interested in seeing them, especially item 2 on the list. Anyway, enough of me. Here's a few of my favorite fan fictions... Summer of Change by Lorddwar - Now an unidentified unspeakable, Harry gets trained by the best and sets out to fulfil his destiny on his own terms. One of my favorite completed stories, I absolutely love Harry/Tonks as a pairing and in this story they both get to show off what they can do, without being judged for it. I think I'd pay to read a sequel to this. Last Second Savior - HP/SW crossover - Harry gets dumped on the planet Felucia in time to save Jedi Knight Aayla Secura. Using a time turner they warn the Jedi Order of the upcoming Order 66 and save the lives of hundreds of Jedi, completely changing the SW canon. This is pretty much my favourite currently-writing story, and I find myself deeply invested in the relationship between Harry and Aayla. Plums, if you read this, please please please don't let it go the way of Sword and Magic (i.e. abandoned), I love the way you're writing and want to read more so much it's scary! Per Ardua Ad Astra - HP/SG:A crossover - Harry, now a decorated SpecOps operative with mutated semi-magical skills, gets himself onto the Atlantis mission, and basically steals Shepard's thunder (good!). Harry and Teyla make for an interesting pairing and I look forward to reading more of that, but the overall storyline of a small group of survivors led by several very strong characters (Weir, Shepard and Potter) makes for a truly enjoyable story. This is a shockingly good story, and the alternate version "Khaveyrim" is also absolutely brilliant, a strong not-quite-magic Harry story that really sinks its hooks into you right from the start. Readers of Tom Clancy will love the style and detail. |
