This is Nagima speaking, nice to not see you from behind the monitor! I'm an authoress for Fanfiction, specifically Elsword, but I might write another story for some of my favorite games, besides it. I happen to be obsessed with Japanese 2D horror games such as Ib, Mad Father, Corpse Party, and The Witch's House. I also like Blazblue and I like JRPGs but mainly for the story and the character designs. I'm a writer by heart and I like to think and create stories in my brain. I'm known for my OP vocabulary and description, so if you have some SAT studying to do, read my stories! Who says Fanfiction can't be educational? I'm a slow-paced writer with sluggish updates and I tend to lose interest in my stories so they get thrown out, so far, out of my original three stories, Yami No Tsurugi is the only one remaining, my very first. Something I will never delete for fear of decapitation by all the angry fans of that story. I love reviews, reviews can be the difference between me abandoning a story or continuing it. It's appreciation for what the writer has wrought. I tend to push limits as well when it comes to ratings... My characters, they swear, there's a lot of sexual innuendo, I'm violent in my writing, and I tend to be mature and not sugar coat things. My stories are dark but I think that's good. Freedom of artistic expression, right? I means, as for the sexual innuendos, you know half of that stuff already by the time you enter the 7th grade. If you don't know, chances are you're still innocent and everything will fly over your head. The violence... well... I don't do fluff or drabble that well, I prefer action and magic and intrigue, and if you swing a blade and cut off someone's limbs, there is bound to be blood. I find it unrealistic stories were nobody dies in all the action and they all live happily ever after. There is no such thing as a happily ever after, and while Fanfiction might be an escape from reality; a story means so much more if you can relate a piece of it to life among all the swords and sparkles. It might seem like I'm trying too hard on Fanfiction, but I hope to be a professional author when I grow up and I have to start practicing. I enjoy writing and I was always told I was gifted in it. I tend to be a major deconstructor in my writing. You think one thing, I'll screw you over and show you another. You think it's all sweet, I'll make it bitter. I'm not for those who want simplicity and cotton candy in their writing. I play mind games, I'm complex, I tend to take the relationships slow... in fact, I hate it when people rush the relationships for the sake of fan service. If you make your characters hate each other so much in the beginning and then four chapters later, have them blushing and having accidental kisses, I'm going to puke rainbows and throw my computer mouse at you through the computer monitor. I know it's Fanfiction but still! I'd rather have relationships that are slow to develop, but deep and lasting. It makes it all the more emotional if the characters had to struggle to get to the place where they're at. My key example would be Yami No Tsurugi; about 9 chapters after Aisha and Elsword's meeting, they still hate each others guts; however, they're making slow progress and we get to see more of the character and I show just how similar those two are and how well they fit together despite them wanting nothing more than to chuck the other out the window. They're both childishly stubborn and prideful and they'll both go to extremes to show up someone they don't like. They're also complex, messed up, and hurt from traumatic experiences; however, they have a kinder side and they're determined and loyal to those they care about despite Aisha's inability to think before talking and Elsword's acidic tongue and short temper. Those are the things that will bond them and it makes the romance all the more sorrowfully sweet. I am a really descriptive writer and I love it when I see description in other peoples' works. It makes a story all the more elegant and vivid if you can envision all the details while reading. The easiest way to jazz a story up and give it some class besides OP vocab is good description, take Tsunderellah for example. WOW, she's just... eloquent in every sense. Use adjectives to emphasize emotions, scents to make things more delicious or foul, sounds to add impact, and touch to show thoughts and once again, emphasis. Small actions such as an eye roll while someone is talking can reveal a great deal about a character's nature. That's all for now, see you later! -Nagima signing out (Nagima is a fusion of Kusanagi and my last pen name nickname- Ephema) |
