3/9/06 - This is a place that I have been drawing some nostalgia from lately.

I have come back, just to look at what is happening. I see the hits I receive for some stories, and some of the newer reviews, and even that some of my fiction is on a newer member's favorite stories list.

I start thinking to myself; "Wow, I am a part of the older generation of authors here." This site has grown significantly in membership so much, the site itself had to evolve to keep up. Sometimes, I can't even search through categories to find a certain story I've read years ago. I remember when the Yu Yu Hakusho section had only 100 fics in it, Yu-Gi-Oh, Bleach, One Piece, or Naruto didn't even have a category, and DBZ was somewhat manageable to navigate through. Hell, there was no , either!

But now, there are so many fics, some good, some bad, but it is impossible for me to read through them all. It is even harder to have your fiction get noticed by the larger public: I found this out a few years ago with my "Somewhat Lost in the Translation." I applaud the new authors coming in, and trying their hands here. I wish them the best of luck.

But still, times have changed, and some of the older fanfiction authors, like myself...we can come back,and just remember:

We can remember what it used to be.

Still, at the same time, we can be happy...

We can be happy that this phenomena known as fanfiction has grown, and in many cases, became better than we used to know.
