Author has written 3 stories for Supernatural. Too old to enjoy teenage angst. Too young to want to retire. Love reading. Love Supernatural. “What really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn't happen much, though.” Don’t try to figure out what other people want to hear from you; figure out what you have to say. It’s the one and only thing you have to offer. Everybody walks past a thousand story ideas every day. The good writers are the ones who see five or six of them. Most people don’t see any. Exercise the writing muscle every day, even if it is only a letter, notes, a title list, a character sketch, a journal entry. Writers are like dancers, like athletes. Without that exercise, the muscles seize up. THANK YOU EVERYONE who has left a review on my stories - it's given me such a lift of confidence to know that they are being enjoyed and that confidence is beyond price - it gives me the courage to keep going! I've been looking for great stories as inspiration and have found a lot on three wonderful communities - The Winchester Abyss, Unique & Unforgettable and Not Alone: Best OC Stories. Check them out for really well-written and extraordinary tales of the Winchesters from pre-series to beyond Season 9, incredible hunts and heart-lifting, believable relationship stories! Having unfortunately lost our wonderful forum, I was really pleased that Heavenli24 has started a new one, just for writers and readers of Supernatural fan-fiction! Everyone is welcomed and you can air (or vent!) your opinion without being ridiculed or flamed for it! It's called the Supernatural Writer's Room and covers a wide range of topics from discussions about the Season 9 episodes to tips and instructions in learning or improving your writing skills and opinions on all the characters from the show. I don't know about anyone else but there are times when I'm just dying to talk to other fans who write about the show and I'm so happy that the forum's been started. Just click on the link to join in. *NEWS* Are you a writer who wants to get more readers and feedback on your stories? Are you a reader who's trying to find more great stories to read? Do you have the time to read and judge stories on their entertainment, readability, characterisation and quality? If so, you'll be interested in a new forum - the Supernatural Fan Fiction Monthly Awards is a monthly fan fiction writing competition. Six sections, each holding eleven categories include stories from 100-word drabbles to full-length novels and covering every genre from canon case fic adventures to romantic slash, horror and comedies. Anyone can nominate a story with the writer's agreement and all winners will be in a new Community (Supernatural Fan Fiction Awards) keeping great stories together in one location. All stories nominated must be complete and well-presented and well-written. Popular voting will be available on each nomination as well. The Awards forum is looking for judges and if you're interested, just PM BlackIceWitch for the details. I think it's a great idea to build bigger readerships for stories and to help readers find better-quality stories on the site! JUST SO'S YOU KNOW Some people may have noticed that I've slipped with my posting. I just wanted to say I don't think it's a permanent condition, just having a bit of a block on the story at the moment and real life is intruding far too much to let me concentrate on the adventures of the Winchesters. I will update as soon as I'm past the current state and I'm sorry that I'm keeping you waiting if you're really into the story. I'm not sure how long it's going to take to get my head back to where it should be, but I hope not too long. While you're waiting, you should try my favourite authors, they have between them a lot of great stories with great characters and our favourite SPN characters in character and ready to adventure with! Interesting Thought from a Dedicated Reader
