Author has written 17 stories for Harry Potter, and Naruto. Hey, Readers- Hope you're enjoying your rambles through the archives! OTDL, why do you write? Writing is one of my coping mechanisms for understanding my own and other's anxieties, philosophies, and worldviews. Expect a lot of rambling dialogue, talking heads, and musings on philosophy as I learn how to show not tell. Also, expect sudden lapses in posting when real life takes over or I have no more questions to answer. Also, I have begun to actual plot out my stories rather than wing them, which is a fun next step for me. I see. But why Fanfiction? Fanfiction is fantastic because it blurs the boundary between readers and writers. My stories are greatly improved by the conversation and questions of my readers. (Seriously, so many chapters and stories are prompted by silly conversations or comments). Feel free to send me a PM or leave a review with what worked, what didn't, and what you would like to see more of. I reply to all my reviews. Excellent! Tell us a bit about your active stories. 13 Reasons Team 7 Cannot Get Married- On Hiatus. Unconnected scenes loosely structured around a drunken proposal and fluffy Team 7 dynamics. No general update plan. A Chance to Say Yes- Active. Originally, an answer to the question: what if Sakura agreed to a date with Naruto? Now, a longer and deeper look into the Naruto universe, Sakura's psyche, and Team Seven development. The Training Arc is fluffy. The Wave Arc is a hot mess. The Home Arc is underway. UPDATE 2/18: Currently re-working the first five chapters of the Home Arc so that the emotional beats and conversation feel more natural and less forced. A Lily in the Storm- On Hiatus. An attempt to engage with conservative thought, its strengths, and weaknesses while also seeing what daily writing felt like. There are plans to continue the story. Lisa Turpin Goes to Hogwarts/ A Witch, A Wiccan, An Awakening- On Hiatus. What happens when a Wiccan witch is invited to Hogwarts? Originally a preface for my take on the marriage law trope, Lisa demanded her own story. I have ideas for all seven years but will try to finish the first one first. UPDATE: I was annoyed with the pacing of Lisa Turpin and am currently re-writing it with an actual plot (!). An Important Note: Lisa was always slotted to become a Dark Ravenclaw- an attempt to show that not every dark witch comes from Slytherin. She was also always from a Wiccan background. The two are NOT connected in any way. All of Lisa's strengths come from her tradition, all of her weaknesses are separate. I struggle with this because of how maligned the witchcraft tradition has been over the centuries but have fallen on the self-indulgent because Lisa is such a wonderful character to write. Shinobi Ficlettes- Collection of one-shot ideas in the Naruto Universe. Some are connected to "A Chance to Say Yes," some are ridiculous, some are seeds for longer stories. Snipettes of Tradition- Collection of one-shot ideas in the Harry Potter Universe. Seeds for possible future longer fics. Thank you for reading! I hope that you have a wonderful day and enjoy your further ramblings. OTDL |
