Author has written 4 stories for Teen Titans, and How to Train Your Dragon. Hey there, readers. If you're reading this, I can only hope it's because you like my work and want to get to know me as an author/check out if I have any other stuff. If that's the case, I should let you know I'm basically just a Teen Titans writer, I'm a long-time reader of fanfic on here, particularly BB/Rae stuff. When I do read other stuff, it's mostly Batman and Arrow fanfic (seeing a trend here?) I'm mildly obsessed with dark, mysterious villains and clever banter, as well as pairings involving one dark/moody personality and one optimistic/lighter personality (though I was never much of a Robin/Starfire person, myself.) Anyway, I know next to nothing about the expanded universe around the Teen Titans, but I know and love the original animated series, so I'm basing all my writing on those. Sorry if I end up stepping all over something from the comics you were particularly attached to. I'm currently in the market for a Beta reader, someone to proof-read my stuff, since right now I just kinda write and post without a real revision process. If you're interested, PM me. Anyway, I have a few stories in my head that I'm trying to share with you all eventually. The first is my take on why Deathstroke the Terminator would step down to petty supervillainy for the Teen Titans, called The Slade Contract. Read that if you'd like something a little darker, with emphasis on the mysterious villain and his motivations, and for a significant twist on how you can choose to view the events of all things Slade-related. The second is my take on a typical BB-Rae relationship evolution story. Think along the lines of LamontCranston's Love in Shades of Green and Gray, but different. Yeah, I think it should take that long to properly tell their story. I'm right now walking the line of how much I can borrow from other writers and still tell an original story within their established characters. The last one I have actually started so far (and my only one-shot) is a humor-based BB/Rae Rob/Star where Starfire learns no fewer than 3 languages. It's a quick but funny read. Finally, I'm playing with the idea of a series of one-shots, where I explore what exactly it would take to "break" each of our heroes and turn them to the dark side, and do the inverse for noteworthy villains. At what point in the storyline are they at their weakest, and how would they break? Last thing: My typical formula for a chapter goes a lot like this: 2 parts introduction and stage-setting, 7 parts witty banter, 2 parts action (optional), and one part dramatic twist (almost always at the end). If you don't like banter or cliffhangers/dramatic twists & reveals, my writing probably isn't for you. Anyway, I would love any encouragement or constructive criticism, I give and receive critical reviews in my daily life on a regular basis, so don't hold anything back (I'm actually kind of a review junkie). I hope you enjoy my writing, and I look forward to your reviews. -TwistedPremise |
