Story begins with the sailboat accident in SCARLETT then becomes a work that has little to do with the aforementioned novel. No one goes to Ireland, action primarily in Charleston and Atlanta.

After Scarlett's fall and subsequent miscarriage, Rhett is tormented by guilt and grief. One night, when the faithfully vigilant Melanie has gone home as Scarlett sleeps, he can't resist visiting her bedroom.

This is my version of how their final conversation should have been... In this story the conversation is far from final though... :-)

Set during their honeymoon in New Orleans, Rhett makes a different choice... Written entirely from Rhett's POV. One-shot.
