Hello! I'm Ranna Dylin (also, elsewhere, durandir or Linett Redfern) and here follows the story of how I ended up here, hoping to share a tale or two with you:

Once long ago (well, about a decade, as a college student with actual free time on my hands), I wrote Star Wars fanfiction. (With a delightful group of Usenet friends called Terra Group, mostly.) Then after college I leveled up to become a teacher (of Latin! We can pretend it's Tevene.) and there was less free time and thus less fiction, apart from a few tales written to tell at player events in Lord of the Rings Online (where I was Lennidhren), which maybe counts as fanfiction or maybe not. (Someday I'll post Lenn's tales here and let you decide.)

Then I started playing Dragon Age, and one thing these stories do best is the characters. I always love best the stories that do characterization well, and DA, especially DA2, caught all my fancies in that regard. So now I've started writing fanfiction again, and all is well. :-)

My first and current DA story, by the way, is a Hawke/Fenris during/post-Inquisition series that started out as headcanon to explain why a Hawke who had romanced Fenris would appear at Skyhold without him, which didn't make sense to me in game. Eventually I had fleshed out my headcanon to the point that I liked it enough to write it down, and return to the world of writing things that are not Latin curriculum. (Though honestly, when I am writing Latin stories for my students to supplement what's in the textbook, I like to refer to it as teacher fanfiction...) It's grown beyond what I originally had in mind but I have also started plotting out a one-shot about my Lavellan's backstory that I hope to get to soon...
