Notice as at March 2018 I have been really busy and occupied since the start of the year, so I actually didn’t get around to doing this until now, although this was a decision I made since the end of last year. Unfortunately, I have made the decision that for the time being, I will no longer be active on fan . To all those who have read and reviewed my story, as well as encouraging me and even ended up helping me indirectly through difficult times, I am really grateful to you. But unfortunately, due to having received really nasty flames and even personal attacks on me, I have decided that I am no longer able to continue being active on fan fiction net. Another reason is also because my writings have become more private due to having shifted to different fandoms. I hope to one day be active on fan again, but for the time being, I will no longer be updating or replying to any reviews. If you really want to contact me, then you can do so by private messaging. It might still take some time before I read it, but I will still check the inbox now and then. IMPORTANT UPDATE AS AT 26/10/2017 I am typing this due to being subjected to two incidents that made me rather uncomfortable and even a bit bitter. I started my fanfiction.net account more then ten years ago and I really feel that this site helped me a lot in my writing, and it also motivated me. I also have received a lot of constructive criticisms that really made me examine my own writing. Of course, there are times when I feel that someone’s comment is a bit harsh, but most of the time, my experience with the site is a very pleasant one. I think like any contributor to the site, when you see any e-mail to alert you having a review or a private message, you will be very excited. However, I recently been in two different situations where the result made me really upset. This is why I am typing up this message. I know that this seems like an overreaction, but this is because I actually receive messages where the other swore at me, insulted me, or the other leave a review due to not like the creative liberty that I took with the story (such as using OC or gender bent characters. I guess if only one incident happened, then I wouldn’t mind that much, but it the combination that kinds of made me react. This started due to a note that I left at my Fushigi Yuugi fan fiction: the decaying cherry blossoms. As I mentioned in the story, this story is not going to be regular in my update, as my focus is more on my final fantasy xii one. I also had a lot of real life issue going on (toxic job where I was really unhappy). I understand that readers of this obviously want to read about this more, and I didn’t mind if people want me to update. However, I was not very happy that people just left me a one line review, telling me to update. I feel that if a reader just leave me a line telling me to update is rude, as they are not even giving me the decency of a review, but is just ordering me to do something. I still stand by what I said. However, a while ago, I received a review (Which is still on there, because I am not able to remove it). Basically, the person who left the review (being one of the person who never left me a proper review, but just an one line demand), pretty much used this as an opportunity to swear at me, as well as insulting me. I wasn’t very happy at the review, but I thought that since this person actually did have the decency of explaining why they were unhappy, I should actually try to communicate with them. I thank them for telling me what they feel, and pointed out that I didn’t appreciate the swearing. I was hoping that maybe I could sort out this issue with this person. Unfortunately, I pretty much got another insulting reply. As a result, I had to block this person. I think if this is the only incident, then I would have not mind that much. However, only a few days later, I saw that I received a review for one of my Hetalia fan fiction: Neither princess nor queen. I was quite excited, but upon opening my e-mail, I saw that it is simply a complaint that I did genderbent. As if one sentence is not enough, they had to continue spamming my story with this complaint. I mean, this is a case of ‘if you don’t like it, you don’t have to read it’. This is not a matter of constructive criticism, because this is pretty much the same as not liking the use of an OC. Combined, the two incidents really make me question whether I wish to continue having this account, where I am basically going to continue to subject myself to this, where people might spam my stories just because they don’t like the setting that I use. I also don't want to look at one of my stories and have to see reviews that are really just insults at me. Another reason is that my recent stories are becoming more of a private nature, so very often, I don’t post them online. Also, I have never been very good to the stage where I get a lot of reviews. It has always been the few reviews that really motivate me, as they are very thoughtful and/or encouraging. But recently, I feel that my stories tend to attract negative reviews that are not about the writing, but just about the setting. The bottom line is that I am not sure whether I still want to have this account and subject myself to seeing all this negativity, and it is already an account that I don’t use that much nowadays. On the other hand, because I have used this site and account for a long time, and there are many people who truly encouraged me, I do feel a bit sad. There are a lot of reviews left for me that I value greatly. I think I am going to leave this message on until the end of the year and then decide what I will do. But if I do stop using fanfiction.net or just delete all my stories, I will post my stories onto another blog for anyone that might still want to read them. I feel I will be more comfortable with a blog, as I would be able to have more control. Important messages: Because "Chapters" and "The Wavering clock" are a series of one shots, they might still get updated even though their status are completed. But for every other story, when I say they are complete, I mean it- they will not get updated anymore. I do not consider people pointing out my grammatical mistakes a flame so to all those people who are kind enough to leave me corrections: thank you very much and please don’t think that I might take this the wrong way, I won’t. Lives: New Zealand, I'm a Chinese New Zelander Background: I remembered that I first start making up fanfictions when I was 13, only that I didn't know they were fanfictions. I actually felt quite guilty for twisting these characters into my own stories...I felt so relived when I heard of the proper name. So, as a teenagerI have started to write fan fictions. I added my blog as my homepage and any one is very welcome to pay a visit there, as long as you don't leave abusive messages. My blog doesn't just include daily life, it also have manga reviews and other reviews! So all welcome! You can leave messages for me there although you can also e-mail me if you don't want to say something with a review! Stories on blog but not on fanfiction.net A series of what if fan fictions: they are in script format and are meant to be funny scenarios involving prince of tennis characters (mainly Shiraishi and the Shitenhouji characters.)
