After an eight month absence brought on by some horrid RL events and the subsequent flight of my muse, I am finally back.

My actual name is Michael/Mike. I'm a Canadian living/trapped in Wisconsin.

I'm a long-time, old school otaku (started in the early 70's as a child, yes, I'm that old). By trade I am a martial arts instructor, going on nearly 18 years of instructordom and having practiced the killy arts for 28 years.

Epic poetry and literature from all nations and cultures is my passion, as well as the military sciences and I'm proud of having served in the Canadian army for eight years, when there was still a real enemy to defend against, the commies :P

Socially and politically, I am a progressive, meaning that all things Bush and Republican are anathema to me. I'm also a devout Anglican (yes, yes, I know I've also written and published yurifcs on other websites, deal with it) who drives most conservative right-wing Christians nuts. And quite proud of it.

If you think you might recognize my pen name from somewhere and know the long-running 'Curse of the Fanboys!' fanfic series, then yes, I am that Lord Havoc. I've been deeply involved in co-writing the series for years and it has left an indelible mark on me. That's not necessarily a good thing, it's just a statement of fact. :P
