Writing Background:

Discovered I enjoyed writing when given a creative writing assignment in 11th grade (1985 Yikes!). Only dabbled for last 20 years.

Took Sophmore and Senior level Fiction Writing classes at NCSU in 88-90 time-frame (senior level taught by Hugo and Nebula Nominee John Kessel).

I have come up with some fun universes to play around with, but have a hard time coming up with stories to stick there...

My first fan-fic, Magic: A Chronicle of Mimasu is the first story I've done in 20 years that I actually 1) really enjoyed writing, 2) had a real sense of where it was going, 3) could actually keep pace with while writing. (I hate when my mind is on the epilogue, and I'm still typing chapter 3)

What I am reading!

David Weber's Safehold series. Nimue Alban's been dead 900 years, unfortunately when your Dad gives you a PICA for your birthday even death in the last gasp of virtually your entire species isn't permanent. I'm in the middle of book 4 (out of 5 current) and already have fanfic ideas boiling up! =D Of course there's no Safehold or David Weber section, so I'll probably end up posting it under Honor Harrington when it is done. Fanfic hint- It develops from the line in book 1 Off Armageddon Reef "The last Christian in the universe was an android."
