This takes place very shortly after the final scene of Countdown. Since it has grown since I began, I'm adding a little more explanation. It includes almost all the canon characters and is what I currently see as the resolution midseason cliffhanger.

Merlin is really good at keeping secrets, but surely he's not that good. Chapter 8 - Arthur: Part II Arthur's just found out that Merlin has magic, and he's about to find out he was the last to know... somehow, this annoys him more.

When does a colleague become a friend? Short one shot – character study style.

Arthur is told a series of events that will occur over the space of a week. The seventh day will end with magic returning to Camelot, ushered in by the warlock Emrys, either to save the kingdom or destroy it. Arthur has a plan, though. Sort of.

"What's on here is a body, and that body can be useful to me. If it's difficult for you to see, then in the future you can wait outside."

Sherlock gets himself checked into rehab by Mycroft and insists on continuing his self destructive ways. John visits to give him a once over and a scolding. Sherlock has other plans.

It would be crazy to go into the water, it must be barely thirty-two degrees . . .

John gets creative about getting Sherlock to take cases-hilarity ensues. And then, all too quickly, so does reality. Non-slash, even if you read upside down and backwards. Later chapters may tend towards a T rating. Read and review, please!
