I like many different movies, books, television shows, comics, etc. Or, put another way, I have plenty of settings from which to choose. Right now, tis Yu Aida's Gunslinger Girl. I am toying with writing for other fandoms such as Firefly, Avengers (specifically Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D), Psycho Pass, and Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

I love Gunslinger Girl manga for the intensity, the detail, and the absence of 'manga idioms' such as mallets and mega-sized bean-mouths. Oddly enough, I also appreciate how it is almost devoid of humour, intensifying the emotional impact. I see it as first character drama, then as action. My fiction will strive to have the same introspective feel, with an emphasis on emotion over action.

Gunslinger Girl Short Stories are canon character (CC) fanfiction. I strive to be as close to the feel of the manga as possible in terms of characters, characterizations, pacing, and emotional / philosophical themes. And lack of humour.

Gunslinger Girl Side Stories are original character (OC) fanfiction. In spite of it being OC fanfiction, they integrate canon events, characters, and themes. More importantly, they do not contradict any major canon events, characters, or themes.

Gunslinger Girl Split Stories are unabashed alternate universe (AU) fanfiction. They do contradict key events and themes in the series. These differences will be called out early so the reader can better choose to read or skip the story.
