Author has written 34 stories for La Corda D'Oro, Digimon, and Attack on Titan/進撃の巨人. About Me: Hello! I just started writing stuff for this site as a creative outlet. Admittedly, sometimes I write when I should probably be doing stuff but...as long as it gets done, right? I've found that writing is a lot more fun than I thought it would be, so I'm working on even more stories. So far all of my stories have been for La Corda d'Oro/Kiniro no Corda and Digimon, specifically Season 1, La Corda d'Oro My favorite pairing is Kazuki Hihara x Kahoko Hino (HiHi/HinoHara/KazuKaho). Considering that most of my stories are centered around them, I guess that's obvious. I will admit that I used to be a Len Tsukimori x Kahoko Hino fan, but then I read one too many fanfics about them and it completely spoiled them for me. It's really kind of sad because I've kind of started to really hate that pairing. *sigh* I guess that's one example of too much of a good thing. Tsukimori and Hihara were always my favorites (Tsukimori may have been slightly ahead by maybe the width of a hair), but after the Tsukimori x Hino oversaturation, Tsukimori dropped WAY behind Hihara. I kind of wish there would come a day that I could like Tsukimori x Hino again just because it feels really terrible to know that I actually am totally against a fictional pairing, but since he totally leaves her for his violin, and his interest in making an attempt at a long-distance relationship is questionable, this pairing has forever lost my support. Not to mention that he's pretty rude even after he falls for her (not to her, just to people in general). I sort-of have trouble seeing Shimizu with Hino because everything he thinks about is kind of seen through the lens of music, and I have a hard time really identifying with that. But he is very sweet, and I like the way they grow one another as musicians. And I think in his music-saturated being, she's his muse, which is pretty much the pinnacle of love for someone like that, so even though I don't totally get it, he's my second favorite. I like Tsuchiura as a character, but since he's a well-adjusted person, I feel like he'd get over it the quickest if Hino went with someone else. This is not a bad trait by any means, but it seems like if that's the case, it would be better for her to go to someone else, or something. But he's definitely a good choice. I didn't like Yunoki before, but he's kind of grown a bit on me. There are other dramas and things I've seen where I liked the guy who teased the girl all the time with the heroine, but I'm still not sure. Maybe if Hino were to stand up for herself more, I'd be more okay with it. When the two of them spar, it doesn't have a very light feel to it. I suppose he and Hino would be okay, but the jury's still kind of out. Tsukimori's my last pick considering my growing antagonism toward that pairing, but I feel like it's a very hollow ranking since I'm fairly indifferent to the other three. XD Maybe I should just say that I like HiHi and be done with it. Quoting a friend of mine, "Who doesn't like hyperactive, energetic, thoughtful, kind, concerned, understanding, sweet, athletic guys who play musical instruments?" Fits Kazuki to a tee! But the thing I love about HiHi the most and what sets it apart from the others is that Kazuki loves Kahoko just because she's Kahoko. It's not because she plays violin beautifully or because she practices her violin all the time. He likes her independent of her violin. Not to say that her violin playing doesn't have an effect on him because it does, just that even if she didn't play an instrument, he would still fall in love with her, and I think that's beautiful. I started writing stuff for Scribe's Faction's monthly prompts (a Corda writing community), but since it's hard to tell which ones are mine, I started using a LiveJournal account. Current stories there are , , and "An 'Other Age' Summer" ( [a.k.a. broken up into chapters] and [each chapter flows right into the next with no breaks to form a single one-shot]). Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan This is my current obsession, but since I've been in love with Corda for so much longer, I felt it still deserved the top slot in my profile. Saw the anime and became hopelessly hooked on it after episode 3. I understand why so many people are into it despite its rather violent and gory premise. The plot is solid, the characters are interesting and well developed, and the soundtrack is pretty all-around perfect. There's not a whole lot else to say. If you are interested in underdogs struggling against all odds in a kind of perilous, dystopian environment, then I recommend giving it a try. As slightly embarrassing as it is, I am completely, totally, one hundred percent head-over-heels for the Armin Arlert x Annie Leonhart pairing (AruAni). It threatens HiHi for my OTP slot; that is how much I love it (and I've been in love with HiHi since 2009, so that's saying a lot). I've been consuming fanfiction and looking up fanart like crazy for them. I know outside of the Female Titan arc, there isn't very much manga-documented support for them, but considering that Annie spared Armin's life twice, Armin gave her an out despite knowing that she was a traitor, and the fact that for whatever reason, Annie's not dead, I think AruAni has some pretty significant support and very definite potential. Not to mention that if it worked out, it would be one of the most romantic things ever: star-crossed lovers that can actually be together in life! Admittedly, as of current, it is pretty difficult to foresee a happy ending for them in the canon universe because it's so bleak and they're on opposite sides and all, which is why I think so many people go for AUs and reincarnation scenarios, but I believe that even if it would be difficult for AruAni to work out, it's possible, so I'll believe that someday a way will be made. The other pairings I like in this fandom (in no particular order) are Eren Yeager x Mikasa Ackerman (which is almost guaranteed to happen by the manga's end [they'll either be alive together or dead together]), Connie Springer x Sasha Blouse, Reiner Braun x Krista Lenz/Historia Reiss, Bertolt Hoover x Ymir (this one, I will fully admit to being based pretty much solely on looks and their contrasting personalities), Moblit Berner x Hange Zoe, and Levi x Petra Ral (which I know will never happen since Petra's dead). I like Jean Kirstein well enough and hope at some point a nice girl will be introduced into the story to help him get over Mikasa. Digimon: I've also gotten back into Digimon a bit. My favorite couples for Digimon are Joe x Mimi (Joumi/Jyoumi/Joemi/Mimou/Mimoe) and Tai x Sora (Taiora). I don't really care that much about any of the seasons after the first one, so I don't really have much of an opinion on pairings for Hikari/Kari and Miyako/Yolei. *shrugs* The reason I like Joumi and Taiora is because they seem the most real to me. For Tai and Sora, since they've been friends for so long, you know that they do care about each other a lot, and friendship is a good basis for relationships. For Joe and Mimi, their personalities complement each other well and they seemed to become the closest over the course of time they were in the Digiworld. I remember when I first watched the show a long time ago, I thought that those two pairs would be cute, and lo and behold, now who-knows-how-many-years-later, I still agree with my first assessment. In-Progress Stories: Digimon: I'm officially working on one Digimon story, which is "The Princess and the Servant." I am still working on it, I promise. I'm just abysmally slow and stuck right now. Since I don't have any plot ideas for Digimon anymore, once this is done, I'll probably hang up my Digimon writing hat. Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan: I need to stop being lazy and finish posting the stories I'm translating: "I Killed Armin" and "So Close, Yet So Far." They're both practically done, I just haven't been paying attention to them. My longer project is a continuation of a story I found on Tumblr titled "Save the Last Dance." This one has a fair number of chapters in it still, so I don't expect to finish it anytime very soon. I also decided to sort-of post an old story I was working on called, "Through the Years." It was originally going to be a long one-shot, but I got stuck in the middle and decided to try uploading in chapters to see if it would give me some ideas for those sections. La Corda d'Oro/Kiniro no Corda: I need to finish translating the second chapter of "The Psychic Piano." I've finally gotten easier access to the video, so it should hopefully be easier to do. *grumbles* Everyone wants Kahoko to be playing to Len; what are the others, chopped liver? |
