Hullo!

I am Marigold, and I beta for and add my own bits and pieces to the works of the most splendid and magnificent authors Llinos, Baylor, Kookaburra, Budgielover, Sandy K, Kit5 (aka Pippinswolf), Anso the Hobbit, and Piplover (aka Pipfan), and occasionally other writers as well,all in the wonderful world of LoTRfanfiction.

I do write a bit when the fit takes me, and the link to my fanfiction is above, but I much prefer to poke at other people and make them write the stories I want to read, and am notorious for foisting plot bunnies on unsuspecting authors! My niche in the fandom, in addition to assisting my authors, is to help anyone with questions about canon and film-verse, being rather knowledgable about both, and in encouraging people who write, or want to write, as much as I possibly can.

I have a weekly Recommendations Page that I update every Friday, with links to hobbity stories that I especially liked, and occasionally links to other happenings and sites around the fandom. I also run the Marigold Story Challenges on LiveJournal, and you can find these by typing in the Challenge # on the search feature there, for example for the first Challenge,talechallenge01, for the second talechallenge02, and so on. The only one that is a bit different is Challenge 12, and that is talechal12 as there was a glitch when the LJ was set up.We are nearly up to Challenge 14, with close to 500 terrific hobbity stories for your enjoyment and all written according to a different assignment or theme! The Challenges are normally posted on the first Friday of every month. Everyone is welcome to participate, and the new theme is announced on my Recommendations Page and on my LJ on the last Friday of the month.
