Author has written 5 stories for Street Fighter, Pokémon, Halo, Godzilla, Red vs. Blue, and Mass Effect. Hello everybody this is Irongiant900 and welcome to this bio page about me and my thoughts on Fanfiction. Here I'll talk about likes and dislikes I have in terms of me and what I have read on fanfiction, so if you don't want to see the rest of this I'd advise just leaving the bio, but for those who want to stay and see what I'm about go right ahead and check. So first let me just tell you that I love video games not only because it's my favorite pastime, but also of what stories I can find on Fanfiction to expand certain universes of video game lore whether it needs more story or just wants to expand the universe. Top 10 favorite video game franchises : 10: Star Fox Series: I think this IP of Nintendo's needs more substance of story, but I have always loved the character's whether they be good or evil. I think that more story for each character from both the perspective of the Star Fox team or even Star Wolf with how they came to be in terms of origin, but also I would love to see the universe expand and flourish, but hey that's just me I think Star Fox is kinda touch and go in terms of decent games, but personally I love the games and I do mean all of them. Yes even Adventures... 9: Mortal Kombat Series: What can I say I love me some fighting games, and I definitely loved Mortal Kombat ever since I played it when I was a kid playing UMK 3, but regardless the series has so much potential ever since MK9 started putting a better spin to their story line, and I don't mind that one bit. However I never really cared for some of the new characters from MKX I really have been enjoying seeing old characters from my childhood come back into the fray and still be relevant once again. 8: Smash Brothers Series: WHAT! WHY IS SMASH BROS ALMOST NOT AT THE TOP! Well to be fair it probably is one of my favorite series, but it is a mixture of the Nintendo franchises that makes it work. Also not all Smash Brothers are perfect and balanced, but they do have a lot of fun whether your with friends or playing by yourself online. Also as much as people didn't really care about Subspace Emissary, I for one thought it was very creative to try to make a story about a cross over franchise and now it continue to be some of our favorite game today. 7: Megaman X Series: Ok let's get something straight here I absolutely love this series, hell even X6 and X7 which are supposed to be mediocre at best was some fun. It really gave me a big picture when you look back to classic Megaman and then you get to the X series it changes to a darker tone when you get down to seeing the comparsion of the games series I always have enjoyed everything about the X series from the bosses, music, stages, and story villain. 6: Donkey Kong Country Series: This series is a little bit less serious, but it all of intents and purpose deserves this spot on the list because of how much I have played the series throughout my life, and if there is one thing that stays constant about this series is the consistent good music and gameplay that it provides me. With enough playing these games it got me hooked to find all the collectables and secerts that it had to offer and it was and still is a blast to play. 5: Metroid Series: YEAH BABY! We are getting to my favorite games now! I love Metroid games, especially the Prime games. They were my favorite in terms of action, exploring, lore, and even some character development for Samus while your playing the majority of the Metroid Series. There are just so many places the Samus gets to go to and the art design is just fantastic in my eyes. But of course I'm forgetting the best part, Samus Aran, god do I love thee. But in all seriousness who doesn't love Samus she's just a badass in each game and taking out bosses bigger than her own body and could turn other hunters into a tasty snack. But of course the best part about her is the gadgets she has in that Varia Suit it feels like she is ready to fight a fucking war and can just fight forever. That's what I love about playing in Metroid just the constant progression you have to turn into an all powerful juggernaut and just blast through those Space Pirate scumbags and defeat that giant space dragon Ridley. But also just this tone that the series sets for everything in my opinion is just straight up ominous in every game when you go against the Metroids, and when you play through you feel like the walls are closing in on you because your being watched, and all in all it leaves you wanting more of that feeling throughout the time you play the game, because I know I feel that. However there are some bad apples in terms of the series. (*COUGH COUGH* Other M * COUGH*) But I never let that negative pull me down in terms of playing through the entire series, and with Metroid Prime 4 in the future I'm hoping that the newest prime game will set the Metroid series back on track as a fan favorite to Nintendo fans, cause god knows I love this series. 4: The Legend Of Zelda Series: Oh yeah here we go. Where do I even begin with this one? Well let's state the obvious and say I love this series. I have played mostly all of the Legends of Zelda, exceptions are Oracles of Seasons and Ages, but other than that I have played through all of them. But when I do It's always me trying to beat the games 100% and prove that I am a true heroic adventurer. Either way I'm getting off topic the Zelda Series has always captured my heart and pulled me into that specific universe. Whether it was Wind Waker, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Skyward Sword, Minish Cap, Twilight Princess, Link to the Past, Spirit Tracks, Phantom Hourglass, Link Between World's, Breath of the Wild, or the Original 2 Zelda games on the NES. Don't worry I also played through Awakening and Four Swords Adventure as well. But I digress, there are just so many things to talk about in this series. Let's just start at what really get's me going the atmosphere of each Zelda game. It just feels different each time I play a different game and that may be because of a long each Zelda game was made, but it doesn't take away how each Zelda feels different, but at the same time it feels like you know what kind adventure you know your going on. Then the world opens, and your free to go see the world for what it is once your adventure starts, and from my perspective It's always breathtaking. Then you have your main hero Link, and it just clicks for me to just call him Link whether it's making a new game or erasing an old game save file. But this Legend will always be known to me as Link, and let me tell you his name is known throughout generations and generations always living up to his ancestors before him as a hero. He has fought creatures that tower over him using only his wit, enginuity, strength, strategy, and most of all courage gifted to him by the goddesses |
