Ok, so I am an Aussie girl who has lived in Melbourne for my entire life. I love it here- crazy weather and all. And while travelling has opened me up to some amazing places in this world, there truly is no place like home (oh god, I'm spouting cliches in my profile...).

I am English and Drama secondary school teacher. I love my job to bits, but it can get extremely time consuming...the pile of essays on my desk needing to be marked never seem to go away. Anyway, I really got into FanFiction during university, churning out quite a few stories. However, when I starting teaching in 2008 it kind of got placed on the backburner and I didn't write anything for over a year.
But, after having some ideas running through my head and just refusing to go away, I has no choice but to start up again and I am absolutely loving it. I had forgotten how much I loved to create and I love that this forum gives anybody and everybody the opportunity to do so :)

My Twilight obsession is what has got me writing again. I first heard about the series during my final year of university while on teaching rounds. One of my students was telling me about this book series she was reading and loved. Me, I couldn't get past the idea of vampires in the sunlight. Anyways, around twelve months later I came across a teaser trailer, realised it was the story she was telling me about and so I watched. Whe i realised that the beautiful Cedric Diggory was starring in it, I knew I had to read the books. I have not looked back since.

Aside from Twilight, some of my other obsesssions include Alias, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel (slight addiction to television)

TV Shows: Dexter, True Blood, Lost, Dollhouse, The United States of Tara, The Tudors, Greek, Flight of the Conchords, Heroes, 30 Rock, Arrested Development, How I Met Your Mother, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Weeds etc.
Movies: Terminator, Dirty Dancing, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Juno, High Fidelity, Across the Universe, Moulin Rouge, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Romeo + Juliet, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Kill Bill and many many more .
Books: Again there is so many, but I'll mention a select few. I love Jodi Picoult, John Marsden, Philippa Gregory, Marian Keyes, Jeff Lindsey and Kate Morton. Love Marley and Me, The Time Traveller's Wife, Wuthering Heights, The Book Thief and many, many more. Coraline has been one of the best decisions I have ever made as a teacher- both my year 7 class and myself love it. The Harry Potter series is amazing and I am totally addicted to the Twilight series.
Music: Music is my glue...I hope that makes sense. I can't play an instrument and I cannot sing to save my life, but I could not live without music. I love Kate Miller-Heidke, Regina Spektor, Architecture in Helsinki, Ben Folds, The Panics, Muse, Arcade Fire, The Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, Lily Allen, Birds of Tokyo, Damien Rice, Joni Mitchell, Kaiser Chiefs, Sia, The Fratellis, Vampire Weekend, The Grates, The Whitlams, Urthboy and many others...what can I say, I have ecclectic tastes.
