Author has written 14 stories for Anne of Green Gables series. Writing for fun since June 2017. My current project is a modern AU, The Blerediths of Redmond College, which finds the Blythe and Meredith kids (and Ken Ford!) at Redmond in the Fall of 2016. It is an adaptation of Anne of Ingleside, Rainbow Valley, and Rilla of Ingleside. If you are interested in a long read, check out my canon-compatible series following the Blythe and Meredith children through adolescence, World War I, and beyond: Part I is Glen Notes (1907-1914), a series of vignettes featuring the Blythes and Merediths between the end of Rainbow Valley and the beginning of Rilla of Ingleside. Part II is Dispatches, the letters of the Blythes and Merediths during WWI. One Hour to Madness and Joy is a series of M-rated short stories set during Dispatches. Part III is The Happiness We Must Win is a post-war story specifically for Shirley, Carl, and Una (currently in complete draft form, I am working on some revisions). My first story was a two-part AU: Part I: Within a Forest Dark and Part II: The Sun and the Other Stars. It explores grief, recovery, and second chances. It comes with strong content warnings for death, grief, anxiety, and depression, especially in Part I, which begins with Anne's death. Dual credit goes to LMMontgomery for her characters and Catiegirl for the continuity she wrote in "One More Day With You" / "When Tomorrow Comes." This universe branches off from "When Tomorrow Comes" after chapter 36. I also have various other projects and one-shots, often prompted by a dare/request from the community: "Sugar and Salt": Marilla and Mrs. Lynde discuss the Blythe children. "Hello, Shirley": Anne wakes after Shirley's birth (content warning: childbirth complications) "Boooties for Walter": A ghost story starring Anne and Baby Jem. (part of the October 2018 community prompt for a scary story) "Spitched Eels": The Blythe and Meredith kids encounter this dish at John and Rosemary Meredith's wedding supper. (part of the December 2017 community prompt to work "spitched eels" into a story) "Divining Disaster": Anne, Diana, Ruby, and Jane try to see their futures. (part of the January 2018 community prompt to write "a disaster involving water") "Carmilla of Green Gables" is a mash-up of J. Sheridan Le Fanu's 1871 novella, Carmilla, and Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables. It is an elaborate joke that grew out of a a subplot in Dispatches in which Di Blythe and her girlfriend, Sylvia, share a good laugh over this Gothic tale of a fascinating vampire and her taste for young ladies. Cast: Anne is Carmilla, Diana is Laura, Gilbert is Bertha, with George Barry in the role of Papa and John Blythe in the role of General Spielsdorf. "When a West Wind Blows" is a short f/f romance between Anne and Diana, told from Diana's point of view. |
